Sorry about all the Vero Beach questions!
My questions are specifically for the restaurants at the Vero resort.
Does anyone have a recent menu from the 2 restaurants at the resort, also what do they serve pool side?(Deb's site has menus from 2+ years ago)
I know they have a brunch, character breakfast and unbirthday party. What food is served at these? How/who do I call to make a ressie at one of these and is it necessary in June? Do you have to wait 60/90 days to call for a ressie?
Thanks!

Although the menus on Deb's site are "old", they appear to be substantially the same as we found during our most recent visit last June. I cannot speak to the menus at the brunch or unbirthday party, but the character breakfast featured a pre-plated meal with scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, and Shutter's signature potato-cheese casserole along with biscuits, toast, etc. It was all-you-care-to-eat. Just request an additional serving of anything you'd like.

We have visited during the first or second week of June each of the last three years. We usually eat dinner at Shutters (actually only had dinner in Sonya's once, although we have eaten breakfasts there on the day of the character breakfast since Sonya's is then open for "regular" breakfast-eaters), and we have never made a PS nor have we ever waited to be seated for dinner. I suppose we would make a PS for the brunch or possibly for the character breakfast. We usually breakfast in our room, but we did the character breakfast during our first trip. We made a PS for this by calling the day before.

Note added about poolside: hot dogs, sub sandwich, I think chicken fingers, chips, etc. The usual poolside stuff. They have a refillable mug program and also have frozen soft serve (vanilla, chocolate, and swirl, my favorite).

We are hoping to go to VB in August. Are there any restaurants close to the resort?

I mentioned in an earlier reply...
Great Mexican Restaurant.... Ay Jalisco. There are 3 of them. Ask about the one that was the second to be openned. It is the nicest.

Italien restauants close by are good too.

We enjoy visiting a lot of the different restaurants.

Good luck
Chris

Sonya's and Shutters share the kitchen so if there's something you see on one menu while eating at the other, just ask, they'll get it for you.

Poolisde -- the chicken fingers are very good and so are the pina colodas. ;)

VB takes PS's 30 days out for the restaurants instead of 90 like at WDW.

I can pick up some menus for you next time we eat there if you like.

Sonya's offers a seafood buffet on Thursday and Sunday evenings. I always make a PS for these. They also offer a GREAT Sunday brunch.

The only time I would make a PS is for a large group, on a busy weekend in the summer or on a holiday.

We recently made a PS for the Thanksgiving buffet (which was YUMMY) and we were seated promptly at our PS time. They had to turn many people away who didn't have reservations.

Make sure you sign up for the unbirthday party at Eb and Flo's when you get there.

They only serve cupcakes at this, I think. This activity is often very busy and fills up fast.

I cant find the info on the pool menu anywhere, or in room dining - also looking for the kids menus, and when is the character meal offered?

TIA
Paula in CT
