I'd like to eat at Tambu Lounge (Polynesian) next November. The nachos and bread pudding look awesome.
I'm a little wary of the Ohana crowds, though. I've eaten at Ohana only once, but the lounge area was slammed-- not a free seat to be found. I'd happily sit at the bar to eat, but I don't remember if those seats were all taken or not.
I realize they don't start serving food until 5. Does anyone have any experience ordering food here, and can you recommend a good time to go that wouldn't entail struggling for a place to sit and eat? I read that going right around 5-5:15 might work as Ohana guests are being moved inside.

They were so overwhelmed trying to get food from the Ohana kitchen the waiter told us it was on the house. Nice, but I would have gladly paid the $10 to have had it 45 mins sooner. I felt bad for the staff because they were at the mercy of the kitchen.
