I want to make ADR's for Yak & Yeti but being late eaters usually, I'm a little disappointed that AK closes at 6 the day I want to eat there! If the park closes at 6, what time do you think the restaurant would take for a later ADR?

I'm very curious about this too.....I wanted ADR's at Rainforest Cafe' but we are running into the same problem.

I was going to post a similar question. We want to make ADRs for Tusker House after the park is closed. Curious to know if they stop seating after the parks closing time.
Thanks for posting this question.

Add me to the list of those who are curious. I do think that RFC has an entrance outside the park, so that restaurant may have a different policy than those inside the park.

I am very interested in eating at Yak & Yeti and was curious as to when they stop taking ADR's when the park closes at 7:00. It is my understanding the the restaurant is well into the park location wise.

In December, I walked up to Yak and Yeti and asked them what time they closed and they told me they closed at 6 pm. That was when the park closes as well. I am thinking that they close when the park closes.

Not sure about your specific day. But we wanted to eat at Sci-Fi and watch the Fantasimic on the same night. The park will close at 8pm, I was told the latest ADR for Sci-Fi is 7:30. So if they apply the same rule, the latest ADR should be 30 minutes before park closes.

I called & asked this same question about Mama Melrose's at MGM (we wanted to eat AFTER Fantasmic). I was told the last ADR was at 7.30 when the park closes at 8pm.
Rainforest Café may be different though since it's outside the park?

I can answer that - When the park closes at 5 the LAST ADR is 4 pm...I think that is a huge mistake for this restaurant but I guess they cannot do anything about it.

But it means I will not be eating there.

I asked Disney DIning this exact question last December-I wanted the latest possible ADR, so I could leave the park after closing. At that time, the last ADR was 1/2 hour before the park closed. For some reason, I showed up for my ADR early, was seated immediately, but the resturant did not close when the park closed. When I left, the park had been closed for 1/2 hour, and I believe there were a few people still eating. But I learned that even tho the resturant was open after park closing, the gift shops were closed, and everyone usually leaves quickly-

Well, yeah - the restaurant being closed doesn't mean they force everyone out of it at X time; it means they won't seat anyone after a particular time. Diners still enjoying their dinners are not (within reason) expected to leave at the closing hour whether they're finished eating or not :)

stupid double posting again!! why does this thing keep doing this????

Thanks Kaytie but that was not my question. I wanted to know the answer to this, my original question:

They are not going to take any ADR for after 6PM if the park closes at 6PM. It would probably be no later than 5:30PM.

The Rainforest at Animal Kingdom is going to have the same hours as though it were in the park from what I've experienced.
You'd be better off making ressies at Rainforest at Downtown Disney, as they are open far later. But make sure you call as early as possible depending on when your trip is. My fiance and I went one night in August- party of 2 was sat immediately, party of 3 had an hour wait.

Just wanted to add our experience.

We have ressies for 5:00 at Yak & Yeti on a day that the park closes at 5:00

So it seems that they are taking them up until the park closes (at least in our case, they are).

I hope this is the case when I call to make our ADRs. That would be great !
Thanks for sharing.

Different restaurant but same idea, we have a 7:45 reservation at CRT when MK closes at 8. When I called, they said they were even taking reservations after 8. It's all a bit confusing.

Oh, I know :)
I figured your question had already been answered so I was responding to the post directly above mine :teeth:
