Eating at resorts

Good Morning!
While we are at Disney in August we are staying at POR and will have our own car. My question is if we eat at a resort (like GF), can we leave our car there and take the transport from that resort to go into the parks? Or would I need to use Valet to do this?

While we are at Disney in August we are staying at POR and will have our own car. My question is if we eat at a resort (like GF), can we leave our car there and take the transport from that resort to go into the parks? Or would I need to use Valet to do this?

Resort parking lots are for guests of those resorts, which includes those dining and shopping. IF you go for a meal you will be allowed to park for up to 3 hours. Then you are expected to move your car. The lots simply are not big enough to accommodate theme park parking. Imagine how upsetting it is to return to your resort, that you are paying a lot to stay at, and not find a parking spot for your car
If you want to use this parking all day or evening you can pay to valet.
