John - we've done Grills a number of times on Saturday nights watching the Magic leave when we were sailing on the Wonder the next day.

I would think Thursday night would be even easier to get in. They don't take reservations that I know of. We usually got there about 4:30. There are inside tables and then a number outside as well. We opted for the outside ones and enjoyed our dinner and watched the Magic leave.

We've taken pictures from there before so I don't think you'll have a problem video taping.

Enjoy!

It is a restaurant at the port. It is just down stream from where the Magic and Wonder dock so they sail right by there when they leave port.

We love grills, we always eat there before we cruise. It can get very busy in the evening, so if you can eat a little earlier that is good, otherwise there might be a bit of a wait.

The food is wonderful, fresh seafood. Everything we have ordered has been fantastic. I love the sweet potato fries with the two dipping sauces and the caribbean scalloped potatoes ..ugh..can't wait to eat there again in May when we cruise..lol.

They also serve wonderful breakfast.

We have eaten at Grill's to watch the ships pass a few times...good food, very casual atmosphere and no problem with taking video or still pics. It has a very Jimmy buffet type of vibe to the restaurant!!

Here is a link to our pics...

love the pics. thanks for all of the info from everyone. when we were on the wonder in 03 we heard the horn twice. once at port and one at grills. i hope the wonder still does it.

We did a pre-dis meet with a few fellow cruisers on Friday night before our cruise. The food was pretty good, decent prices. We did have to wait awhile to get a table, I think we had 12 of us. The rain did not help since that limited the outdoor seating. It was pretty neat to see it the next day on the way out of the port.

One of the tastiest dishes I've had there was the shark skewer. Hubby ordered it and I didn't even want to try it (the idea just turned me off) but when I tried it, it was great and it didn't even taste like chicken LOL!

Has anyone ever taken a taxi over to grills from the radisson?
How much did they charge and was it worth it?

We are thinking of maybe venturing over there on a Friday afternoon before our cruise in May?
We won't have a car since we are getting a tiffany transfer to the radisson.

We met friends who live on Merritt Island for Breakfast at Grills on Embarkation morning. Food was very good, very reasonably priced, and large portions. In fact, we have decided never to do this again because we just weren't really hungry for the wonderful embarkation day lunch buffet, even waiting until 2 or 2:30 this past cruise. So breakfast eaters at Grills beware--it might be too good of an option.

When I suggested it as a meeting place, our friends, who work at the space center for contractors, said they were very familiar with Grills but not for breakfast. That they had been to many a tiki-torch lit happy hour and enjoyed many a cocktail there.

Hi Have heard many good things about Grills and we are planning on eating there pre cruise in may. We have visited there website and menu looks yummy but couldn't find a kids menu does anyone have a copy or can point me in the right direction so I can get it.
Many Thanks
