OK--We are planning our first MNSSHP this October. I planned a 5:00pm dinner at 1900 PF before our trek over to the party at MK. Will we feel out of place eating in 1900PF if we are dressed up for MNSSHP? It won't be elaborate costumes but am planning on us all being a somehwat silly version of the black-eyed peas....

Should we keep the ADR as others will be dressed up too or cancel the ADR in lieu of CS at the park? Thx:goodvibes

I'd go dressed up. Even if nobody else is in costume, it's still fun and then they will all be jealous of you.

We ate with our kids dressed up before a party and there were not any others dressed up. My kids were a bit off put for about 2 seconds and then they were fine. They actually were picked for the little opening ceremony and got to dance with Cinderella and the Prince. I do suggest checking in at 4:30 to get seated as early as possible (they start seating at 4;45) because they can run very slow and you wouldn't want to miss part of the party.

You can get into MK with your park ticket as early as 4pm. Just wanted to make sure you knew that because it is not officially advertised by Disney.:thumbsup2

Hhmmm...still torn. I just love the buffet there and think it will be good to have a nice meal before the party. We are usually not late night park goers. Never made it past the regular fireworks time at MK so staying till midnight will be new to us. We are planning to rest before the party--may not even go to a park that morning--and have planned a sleep in/pool day for the following day just going to Epcot in the evening.

At least if we feel like fools cuz no one else is dressed up, no one will know the fools' names......:rotfl2:

I know we can get in at 4pm if we so choose but what time does MK close on MNSSHP nights?

They start shuffling people out around 6:30pm. They have tons of castmembers roaming around handing out wristbands to ticketed party guests that don't have them yet, and asking non-ticketed people to leave.

Duh, I just realized you meant what time does the party end. Midnight is closing time.

LOL--thanks:goodvibes I thought it was midnight but couldn't remember what i had read earlier. 6pm-12midnight will be plenty of party time for us. If we start at 4pm we would probably poop out before midnight.

OK--another added question related to making it to midnight--are there coffee/latte stands open during the party??? ETA:meaning not Nescrapay but REAL coffee/latte drinks!!!

Most of the snack stands/eateries are closed, but Cosmic Ray's is open until 10ish, and Pecos Bill's is open until at least 9, so if you are serious need I think you can probably get some there. I can't remember completely, but I *THINK* the bakery on Main Street is open as well. I am currently looking for our party guide map from last year in my junk room, it has a list of what was open and what wasn't.
