Eating around the world help

There are certain countries I am having a hard time figuring out what to get to eat around the world.

When it comes to the eating, we really just want a snack at each place, so we do not get to full.

Here are the countries we are having issues:

In Morocco, we were hoping to get pita and hummus and I can not see that as an option on the menus I have looked online. Anyone know if we can just order that separately? We know a lot of guides recommend baklava here but did not want baklava since we have had to many home made baklava from our friends and there is no way they can compete against that. Also we need some non sweet, snacks. Or maybe is there a way we can just get a kabob without the platter? That would be great so we could get some protein.

UK
It looks like Rose and Crown is the main place, but I do not seen any snack type food, any suggestions?

Canada
I have no idea what to do for snacks here.. any suggestions would be fabulous.

Can't help you with the Morocco pavilion- we usually split a platter between us.

The UK has a CS fish and chips shop (to the right of the F&C as you look from the street). There is a very limited menu of snack foods inside the pub (not the restaurant).

The Canada pavilion doesn't have a CS option. Great beer from the kiosk, though. That could be considered a snack by some folks.;)

I literally just read a review on here last night where you can indeed get pita and hummus alone at the Morocco CS location. It's not on the menu, but you just have to ask for it. Good luck!

As mentioned by a PP, Canada does not have a QS location. There is a beer cart, which also sells popcorn. The gift shop sells some candies and snack treats, so maybe those would count?

Where is the kiosk? And do they have a souvenir plastic beer stein?

It's to the left of the entrance to Le Cellier (basically between the Le Cellier entrance and the store on the walkway). It has beer and popcorn. The stein is plastic...it looks just like the one from F&W, but has the Canadian flag (unless they still have F&W steins, which they did in March and during F&W).

Thank you! I wonder why I've never seen it, when I'm usually looking for it. :)

OP, for me the idea of eating through Epcot sounds like fun, but when I think about it it's not possible for us. Unless we had a long trip with multiple days at Epcot.

So if you're not able to do it, you're not alone.

For us, as long as I can get a Grand Marnier Slushie and a treat from Kringla, I'm pretty good. A stop at Sunshine Seasons for more proper food sets us up for a better day, too!

If you can't get the pita and hummus alone when you are there, I can suggest getting the small side of tabouleh. It is very light and non-filling, and a great snack-around-the-world entry, since some of the other pavilions only have heavier snacks!

That is the cutest little Figment plush I have ever seen!

To Figment_JII,
I just appreciate your posts and pics soooo much! Thank you for making me laugh. :cloud9: I search for your pics - I loved the bat hat and the Santa outfit, and this was just as great! No matter what kind of day I am having, your pics and Figment's food reviews are like a bit of pixie dust. I do hope to someday walk into a WDW restaurant and see you, your family and figment sitting there enjoying your meal and taking pictures! Best Wishes!

And this is exactly why I was online at 5 am at my 180 Day mark booking dinner at Le Cellier for my next trip. This year, without even trying I came within 3 countries of eating something from every World Showcase pavilion, and Canada was one I missed. (This was not a one-day Snackathon, this was over the course of a 6 night trip, which is what I'll be doing again next year.)

OP, how many in your party? For the UK, I'd get an order of fish & chips and share (you get 2 pcs of fish, but it's not huge - and it's one of my favorites!).

For Morocco, I haven't followed the news on this closely, but there is supposed to be a new eatery coming to the lagoon side of the pavilion - Spice Road Table? Don't know when it will be open, but that might provide some more options.

Thanks! :) Figment will be heading down to Disneyland in October...so hopefully he'll have some new food pictures for the Disneyland board after that. :)

Thanks!
