Hey everyone ~

I need some help from some celiac's or those that can not have Gluten and wheat . My Dh is asking me to try to figure out something for me and my 2 celiac childern to have at the countries at Epcot that are safe. He would like to atleast "try" to have a normal vacation as much as posiable and to him eating around Epcot is a fav . So are there any options to eat around Epcot ??? If so what are they ? Has anyone that has Celiac done this befor ???

Also I am asuming that Chocolate bannanas are gluten and wheat free is this still true ?

Thanks for the help !!!!

Sarah

Check FAQs for the celiac info, contact WDW special diet people listed on FAQs as they will send you a list of Gluten free foods. Mickey bars and dole whips and turkey legs and ice cream and soft serve ice cream are gluten free. Probably the ice desert sold at Japan. Fruit bars are gluten free

I have the list but on the list there is nothing from the diffrent countrys at Epcot on it . Thats why i was wondering if anyone ate around the wrold even if I could only get 3-4 things I would be happy .

Can I get Rice dream ? School bread I am guessing no , What about the big patter in Maroco with meat and such ? Anything at the counter service in Mexico we can have ? What about the bakery that has Diped Strawberrys are those safe ? Or the Fudge ?

I am just wanting to come up with a list of good snack items at Epcot mostly but also through out, cause I (nor do I want my 9yr old that was just told he has Celiac) do not want to feel deprived as everyone eles is eating all there yummy snacks .

Thanks for any help anyone can give me .

You can get rice dream/tofutti at the counter service in America. You can also get a hamburger on a gluten free, tapioca bun. Personally, I would stay away from school bread. Perhaps the shaved ice in Japan would work?

As I understand it Disney doesn't operate alot of the food places in EPCOT so they can't speak to what is in the food. The cashiers "should" have notebooks listing the ingredients.

Tutto Italia (and its little kiosk) has a great gluten free chocolate hazelnut torte. It is so good!

Yummy This sounds great !!!

Is the Sushi at Japan safe ??? And what about the Hand Dipped Straberrys ?

Thanks for the help as always !!!!

Hi We went with our 2 daughters with celiac. We didn't do a lot with the countries but I did get that list that the last poster shared. I can just tell you that the chefs were excellent every where we went and at the TS they really went out of their way. PM me if you want more specific details. LEt's just say that my daughters felt more special instead of odd that they couldn't have everything!
