Where would you eat at that's not in the park? We want to do one really fun night, hang the expense, but the rest of the time we want good but inexpensive (mostly). I'm thinking of Tony Romas and Rainforest cafe so far. I checked out Mimi's online and that looked good... :stitch: popcorn::

I should mention, we're leaving the kids at home and we don't drink alcohol (if that makes a difference).

Rainforest is a lot of fun and the food is pretty good, but it can get VERY crowded. If you decide to go that way, I would recommend getting a reservation. We've also eaten at the Tony Romas and it was good. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, which is quite a contrast from the park.
As far as the "inexpensive" is concerned, thats gonna be hard to find at any of the DTD restaurants. You'd be better off going to Mimi's or Tony Romas. If you decide to splurge a little I would also recommend Naples in DTD. We've always enjoyed our meals there. It can be a little more expensive than the Rainforest.

For the no kids, expense doesn't count meal, I would do either the upstairs dining room at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen in DTD or Napa Rose at GCH. Both are outstanding, but pricey (I think Napa Rose is even pricier than Ralph Brennan's). Also, while I haven't tried Catal, that also gets outstanding reviews and it is a Joachim Spichal restaurant (I have eaten at another one of his restaurants) so I suspect those reviews are correct. I would recommend checking out the menus at all 3 and then deciding.

Okay, my dh and I found a place a litle ways away from dl, across from angel stadium. Its called Fresca Taco? I think? I am so not sure of the name, but its next to Carls Junior, and Panda Express. We loved it! Yum, Yum, Yum!!!! And cheap..... Its definately someplace we are going to hit when we are down there again!

But for something special, i would definately hit Ralph Brennens Jazz Kitchen. It was delish!!!!

I loved the close location of the MCDONALDS to the ALL Star Resorts.

If you are talking outside of the Disneyland Resort area just south of the park about 1 ½ miles on Harbor are quite a few good restaurants. There is the Outback Steak House, Joe’s Crab Shack and Buca di Beppo.

Now for desert you can a little father down Harbor to Joe’s Italian Ice & Ice Cream. They have some of the best Italian Ice I have ever had. It’s in a Red & White building on the East side of Harbor.

Mimi's Cafe is pretty good. There is also a Denny's and an IHOP right across from the park, but that is kind of gross.

If you keep heading down Harbor, you will run into quite a few places. El Torito and Ruby's Diner come to mind. There are lots more.

We always eat at Mimi's Cafe, Millie's, Carl's Jr and Tony Roma's. We also order pizza's at Round Table pizza and have it delivered to the hotel.
Bucca is good too. I haven't eaten at the one in Anaheim. Red Robin is delicious also. We eat at the one here at home but, have yet to visit the one in Anaheim either.

I ate Christmas dinner last year at NR, the food was good but for 2 people and no drinks it was not worth $225.00, that was the dinner and a tip. Also there was nothing festive about it at all
