Eating and drinking around world showcase--advice plz.

Cant help you, but I look forward to doing the same thing when my kids are older.

Any chance that you're going during the F&W festival (10/1 - 11/14)? There's lots to eat and drink during that time. Otherwise, a few things to check out are the margaritas in Mexico, the pastries in Norway, the wine in Germany, the pastries in France and beer in the UK.

There is a kiosk in France with some pretty tasty slushie drinks, including a Grand Mariner Orange Slush and a Grey Goose Citron Lemonade Slush.

Oh me and my DS do this,It really is so much fun, well with out the drinking, unless Its POP or juice wich Is good. The pretzels from germany,oh when there warm there so good yummmmm, egg rolls from china, nachos from Mexico we have to buy two or there Is a food fight:rotfl2:. Pastries, well take your pick there all good and can make a meal just from them,ok well I can at least.

There are so many choices -- where do I begin :confused3

Drinks first!! Here are some of our favorites :thumbsup2

There are good beer choices in every country (Mexico, Germany and England have particularly good choices IMHO)

Magaritas in Mexico (try the new ones at the new La Cava del Tequila in the pavillion)

Rosa Regale (a sparkling wine) or Bellini in Italy

Champagne, Kir Royal, several types of frozen drinks (grey goose/lemonade, grand marnier, and apparently a new cosmo) in France

Now -- you'll definitely need some snack to go along with those -- or else

Mexico: nachos
Norway: school bread or sweet almond pretzel
Germany: warm pretzel
China: Egg Rolls
Morocco: try the shwarma platter from Tangieriene cafe -- Yummy!!

I could go on and on and on . . .

Be sure to pace your self!!!!!

Have fun --

Not exactly a snack but fish and chips in the UK are really good. Great washed down with a Grey Goose Citron Slushie :thumbsup2

Eating and drinking around WS is one of our favorite things to do. Here are a few of our favorites.

Mexico: Nachos and Dos Equis, Margarita
Norway: Almond Pretzel, School bread, Carlsberg
Germany: Spaten & Reisling
China: Egg Rolls
Italy: Chianti
US: Sam Adams
Japan: Sushi & Sake
Morocco: Lamb wrap
France: Grey Goose slush or Kroenenburg
UK: Fish & Chips and Bass Ale
Canada: Moosehead Lager

Mexico: Margaritas, occasionally we get the nachos

Norway: School bread and viking coffee (if its cool or the evening)

Italy: Rosa Regale, sometimes gelato from the kiosk

America: we usually skip but occasionally dh will get a funnel cake or beer

China:They have some great teas up front, sometimes we get an egg roll

Japan-Sake bar! (I am not a big fan of Sake but it is cool to try something new.
Germany- Pretzel and Riesling (or a spaten for dh) also gingerbread from the store

Morocco- Shwarma platter and a sultans colada (like a pina colada)

France- grand marnier orange slushie (my absolute fav drink), pastries (I particularly like the napoleon).

Canada-? I say they should make a cheese soup, ice wine and pretzel bread kiosk:rotfl:

UK- Fish n chips!

169 more days til my Grand Marnier Slushie.....:cloud9:

One word of advice....keep a bottle of water on hand and if you're planning a day to eat and drink around the world, you may want to skip an ADR that evening!

If you enjoy wine, Germany, Italy and France offer flights of different varieties that are reasonably priced.

My favorite is Grand Marnier slush in one hand, Grey Goose slush in the other and making DH feed me my chocolate crepe! Also, I would suggest the hard draught cidar with black currant juice in the pub in the UK. Most excellent! Watch out for the Irish car bombs though.....there is a reason our mothers taught us not to talk to strangers.....especially strangers wearing T-shirts about drinkin' 'round the world!
