Eating a hot dog @ COSTCO.... a simple, but guilty, pleasure!

I can count on one finger the number of hot dogs a year I might eat at my house. I don't especially enjoy them.

So, why is it that when I go to COSTO that I have one EVERY time I am there? I load it up with ketchup, onions, relish, and mustard.

Then I sit at one of those little white tables with the red umbrellas and just enjoy a hot dog. And I "relish" the experience!!

I never eat them at a sporting event. I never get one at a restaurant. The ones at BJ's wholesale club don't even compare.

Why do I enjoy these so much? And why am I posting such a useless thread?

My parents used to rave about them, so much so that I had to try one. And I admit to being......disappointed. I do eat them at home, at a ball game etc. IMHO, I'd rather have a Nathan's hot dog than a Costco one.

And no thread is useless to me!

I have never had a hotdog at BJ's. But we like to eat pizza at Sam's Club. Love the grease!

Hot dog and soda for less than $2 is one of the best buys to be had. Plus, you get more for your money. I dare you to try and find an equivalent at any sporting event at the same price. It'll never happen...

I agree completely! I never buy the packages they sell them there, of course, but I gotta get a dog when I am at Costco!

The Costco dogs were rated the best in the city! My brother is like you Papa Deuce - that's the only place he'll eat a hotdog.

I'm in Costco waaay too often, so don't get one everytime I go, but i gotta admit, they're mighty good! (&, yup, the price is right!)

Being an extremely light eater, I can wander through Costco on a Saturday afternoon and be completely stuffed on just the samples. When we are feeling really broke but want to get out, we do "lunch" at Costco. DH gets a dog and pop then we wander around and I get the samples. Quality time and cheap food, it don't get better than that folks!

I love Costco, Costco is one of the most "blue" companies out there and is a great place to shop.

My kids really love the Costco pizzas. They are also great and are reasonable.

LOL we just got back from Costco and I had a polish dog with kraut and mustard *burp*. Sooooo yummy, especially when you're starving!

Why must our Costco pizza always be burnt on the crust. It's like that all the time!!! So, I've never eaten a pizza or hot dog at Costco. I love the free samples though.

I'm always surprised, rather amused, by all the folks who "do lunch" at Costco!
