Has anyone been and reported on length of lines, or the concert itself?

We're going on Friday and Sunday!!!

we were there 2 weeks ago for sly stone --no wait at all just got food and sat down but they say the beach boys were standing room only

It all depends on who the act is that's playing and the day they're playing.

I've seen it twice, once a couple weeks back when Survivor played, and yesterday with The Beach Boys.

With Survivor, there was not much of a line. They filled up most of the concert hall, but it was a pretty relaxing, fun show (although I only knew one Survivor song - Eye of the Tiger ;) ) with a moderate crowd.

But, a TOTALLY different story with the Beach Boys.

I'm not exaggerating when I say this: people started lining up at 2pm for the 5:45 show...a LOT of people. By the time the show started, the line was...get this...back out to the AFRICAN OUTPOST. Literally. It was CRAZY.

I had no idea the Beach Boys were still this popular. The crowd level was unlike anything I've ever seen at EPCOT. But think about it: it was a Sunday, so tons of locals (like me) were there to take advantage of F&WF; it was about THE most PERFECT day, weather-wise, you can possibly ask for; it's F&WF, so it's going to be crowded to begin with; and the Beach Boys were playing.

For much of the BB show, you could hardly move through the AMerican pavilion. I couldn't believe it. So just consider who the act is that's playing and plan accordingly.

The shows typically run right at 30 minutes. They are actually limited by WDW, in their playing time (as I learned last year).

I don't know about current popularity. 3 Dog Night, and The Four Tops are the groups.

We have 5:30 dinner ADRs at BCV on Friday, and so, there's not time to get in line early in the afternoon. Maybe that dinner time isn't good, but there should be 2 shows we are likely to hear, if not be seated for. We have off site things to do on Saturday.

When we went to see Three Dog Night last year, it was a mad house. The yard in front of the American Pavilion was packed. We were lucky in that we had back stage passes and front row seats.

(I am a friend of a band member, aren't you jealous! :cool1: )

The fact that it was Veteran's Day weekend probably helped.

"Madhouse" sounds about what I expected, but hoped it wouldn't be. Yup, you're a lucky duck!
