Have a great day!
Pat, I LOVE the dress on you -- you look great (and you've encouraged me to get it on my next trip).
Sorry you didn't have a very good seat for Illimunations.
How great that you got to meet Marv! And that's a great photo of the two of you!
Love the dress Pat !!! The storm /lightening looked scarey!!!! Magdalena and I had a great view of Illuminations , the best I've ever had !!!
Sorry couldn' resist that one.
I loved your updates! Your Safari and Gorilla pics are amazing!
The Yak attack was a nice break from the heat for you.

Wasn't that lightning cool! We watched while waiting for wishes to start. It was like a pre show. I took a video here is a link http://www.facebook.com/v/10150305512706583
"The Edge of Night"....my mom and older sisters used to watch that one back in the '70's.![]()
Great pictures of the clouds, they were really lighting up!
Now that I think about it, I think Judy thought about getting that sundress the last time we were there too, but somehow resisted the temptation.
Glad you got to meet Marv! He's really making the rounds lately!
I found the lies in Germany.
Instead of orange or green how about Blue?

The faux pickle tree? All lies. What, that's not true?![]()
I recently read that a NASA scientist endured a test 24 hrs of 2 g-forces (MS is just a little more than 2g). I can't imagine that. I'm fine after one ride, but one time when I rode it twice in a row I found out that once is enough.
I am glad you got that storm in motion.
It was pretty cool but crazy the way it just kept flashing.

It was fun to watch from MK. Everyone was just sitting around waiting for the parade and Wishes watching. When the lightning flashed bright the whole crowd reacted. Mickey could have ran around the hub without his pants and I don't think anyone would have noticed.![]()
In my past little bit of 'research' on this, having no desire to be too much of a liar to my students, it seems that the custom was true only in a very small section of Germany. There are several different stories surrounding its beginnings, including a pickle saving the life of a dying prisoner. Who knows if anything in any of them are true, but hey, America has the apple guy, so they can have the pickle guy.![]()
I guess because it is a unique story, I'm going to believe that somewhere along the lines, some form of it was true. I'm sticking to the pickle story with my second graders, with the preface that it was only for a small part of Germany. If nothing else, Americans have made it a German tradition, so we're going with it. No big 'dill' if we're wrong, right?![]()

Beautiful nighttime pics of World Showcase!!!
The pickle story is great. I think it is such a cute tradition.
Love the Nemo pics. I will just have to enjoy your pictures of Mission Space. I will never get on that ride. I am afraid of it!![]()
I had the pleasure of meeting Marv this evening. He was in my town for Andrew's soccer tournament.
We mat at a local mall at the Disney store. We had a great talk.
