Eat, Run and Celebrate- Day 7- Last Day and New Orleans

I stop for an egg roll at the egg roll cart. Shrimp /pork eggroll and an ice water. I bring it back around Yak and Yeti to eat. Lots of families and lots of screaming kids and worn out parents.

I eat and enjoy the fact that I am not dealing with that.
.

There seemed to be more screaming kids than usual to me that week. They were everywhere. Or maybe I seemed to notice it more. I'm so glad my kids have outgrown that stage. Even they commented on how often we encountered a screaming tot that trip. Love your gorilla photos. Can't wait to see more :)

This is a great picture and your zoom got such a great close up of that giraffe. Your gorilla pics are really good too. You got some really good shots. sorry it takes me so long to see them sometime. I hate working on a restricted computer. But I can't complain.

Some of those darn gorillas look so human. Amazing.

Hmmm I thought it was just me noticing it. Maybe there were more than in times past. It was kind of hot until Sat so I know the heat may have been getting to some.

Thanks again for the compliment. I owe it all to you for any of the low light shots and that zoom was heaven this trip.

I totally understand about work computers being restricted. When I encounter the Tr's where I can't see the pics I need to remember to go back and re read them so I can see the pics and I will admit it slows me down in trying to catch up.

You got some really amazing shots!!! Wow! :worship:

Thanks. I  my new camera

that Lily is so cute! I love the tree pics too. And what would Disney World be without screaming kids? I call it "ambiance". (and, incidentally, the reason I am postponing a Disney Cruise until I have grandchildren)

Wow, you had quite the face-to-face with that one gorilla.

I love that trail near the Tree of Life for good pictures of all of the detail. (But I think your pictures in this chapter were from the other side of the water, correct?)

Lily is a cutie. I did ask the Cm in the area how she is doing and she acted like all the hubbub was for nothing. She is fine and doing well. It was almost like she couldn't say anything about it. :confused3

I was getting the "you better get away with that camera" look. :lmao:

Those pictures were from the other side of the water on the path from Africa to Asia.
( Not to be confused with the backside of water) ;)

WOW! Great shots of the gorillas, Pat. I could spend hours there.

You also got some terrific shots of the Tree of Life. I have never seen the owl--spectacular.

Beautiful safari and gorilla pictures! Seeing those gorilla pics makes me smack myself in the head again for leaving my good camera in the car on our AK day. I literally had visions of the pictures I would get of the gorillas at AK when I bought that camera 2 years ago. *sigh* And I love the gorillas - they're my favorite. So amazing!

I think that is one of the reasons they don't have benches there. :lmao:

If they did I would park myself there for hours.

The owl is on the backside - you can see it from the path from Africa to Asia.

Thanks.

You made the right decision that day NOT going back for the camera. Someday you will have the opportunity to photograph those gorillas with the camera you bought just for that purpose. ;) Until then, keep snapping away at Seth, he is a cutie.

You will just have to keep going back to WDW until you get those pictures. ;)

The gorillas are fascinating to watch. Lilly was putting on quite a tumbling show when we were there last month. The crowd watching her was huge, though, so it was hard to get a picture.

The waterfalls are so pretty and add so much 'ambience' to the area. :)

She was back up near the rock. SHe was playing with the twig and branches and scampering around.

If they had benches in those area, I would never leave. :lmao:

What great gorilla pictures. Love the ones of Lilly!

One of the many reasons for getting that camera. :thumbsup2

You are leaving in less than a week. :cool1:

I love Lily can't wait to see her again. :goodvibes

I missed the gorillas this trip, but next year !!! Just think I will have yet another ptr to write ealy next year as I have a feeling Disney will be in May next year ????????

Beautiful pictures of the Safari and the gorillas! I love the one with the animal who was laughing at you. Lily looks a lot bigger than the last time I saw her.

I always figure any lunch where it's not my kids who are screaming is a great meal. :rotfl:

:cool1::cool1: for a May trip.

I try to make it to see the gorillas every trip. Sometimes there is not too much to see but most times a few gorillas are out and getting to see he baby is speical.

According to the CM Lily is growing and doing fine.

I agree with you about any lunch where mine are not screaming is a great meal.

Is is wrong that I smile a little when when I see or hear others when the kids are in the early stages of the crankies. :rolleyes1

The late stages, the meltdowns and the full out frustration just make me feel bad for them. :)

I will admit that being able to just walk away when I see others at that stage is just priceless. :upsidedow
