I would love to join this group. I'm always looking for new ideas for dinner and a way to save money.

Let's see, last night we made BBQ paninis and fries.

Tonight I'm going to try a new recipe, Buffalo Chicken Chilli. Hope it's good!

It's been awhile since I posted! This week we had Tacos and pasta bake. Last night I made Spicy Romano Pasta for the weekend! This coming week I'm making chicken lo mein from scratch and steak with salad and pretzel bread!

Had a little menu change this week. On Tuesday I found out that I had an all day training to go to today for my job and then later that night I found out that the Midget football team my daughter cheers for and the Pee Wee team my son and younger daughter play/cheer for will not get the play off "by week" we thought they would get even though they are both the number one teams. So in the oven right now, because I have to leave for the Midget game in about a half an hour, are hot ham and cheese pockets that will be eaten in the car. Tomorrow I'm making a chicken pot pie to eat before we head out to the Pee Wee game at noon. We usually eat a big lunch on Sundays and then nobody is hungry for a big mea later so I've thrown any extra leftovers in the freezer and we will do our leftover night on Monday. I can't wait until football is over

Today: pasta, sausage and broccoli.
Sunday: chicken, stuffing, sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce.
Not too sure about the week though yet.

Sunday - Butternut squash soup and ham biscuits
Monday - Pot roast with carrots and potatoes
Tuesday - Pork chops with gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans
Wednesday - Spaghetti, peas, garlic bread
Thursday - leftovers
Friday - Tuna noodle casserole, brussel sprouts

Last night I ended up picking up pizza after work for dinner.

Tonight I am doing some kind of chicken stir fry but with quinoa instead of rice.

I would really love to join this thread. We have been eating out far too often. So, here I go:

S: Roast Chicken; Spinach Salad with Hard-Boiled Eggs, Dried Cranberries, Cherry Tomatoes, Walnuts and Poppyseed Dressing
M: Grilled Salmon, Roasted Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes
T: Naan Pizza (naan with roasted red pepper spread, grilled zucchini, grilled eggplant and goat cheese)
W: Lettuce Wraps
Th: Chicken Parmesan over Spaghetti
F: Kung Pao Chicken, Brown Rice

Now, let's see if I can stick with this!

Linda

Last night we had black bean soup with tomato and provolone paninis.
Tonight will be pecan encrusted tilapia with acorn squash and green beans.
Tomorrow will be veggie quesadillas with mexican corn.
Wed will be chicken and broccoli casserole with salad.
Thurs will be spinach lasagna with salad and bread.

Last night Sun: leftovers from our Thanksgiving meal (Canadian). I did however cook a huge meal Sat for 15 people though including appetizers and desserts so I derived a break:thumbsup2
Tonight Mon: lentil stew and apple slices
Tomorrow Tues: curried golden beet soup, salad, naan bread
Wed: possibly breakfast for dinner

That's as far as I got so far, it's progress for me just knowing what we are going to have tomorrow night.:rotfl:

This week we are having:

apple cider chicken in the crock pot
Ham and egg "cups" (cooked in a muffin tin) with fruit
steak chili
meatballs and marinara in crock pot
sausage and chicken jambalaya (spelling?)
sub sandwiches and brownies picnic style
grilled cheese and tomato soup

I want to do more "fall like" cooking than this, but I am trying to use up stuff from my freezer from things I bought over the summer.

M- brown rice and lentil casserole
T-marinated steak, baked potatoes, corn, sautéed red peppers and garlic bread
W-chili with zucchini, tomatoes and red peppers (this was too sweet!) and couscous
T- steak, baked potato, chopped salad
F-grilled cheese and tomato soup
S-homemade pizzas and honeydew
S-fresh caught fish breaded and baked, sautéed peppers and scalloped potatoes

The homemade "uncrustables" were a hit with my kids. No complaints of soggy bread or anything. Baked breads and muffins went over well too. No whining about pre-packaged things.

So my menu has gone out the window. I took my mom to the hospital emergency room tonight. She has just been weak and not well lately. They admitted her and are running tests. Not sure how the week will go.

 she will be in our thoughts. Good luck.

Hope they find what is making her ill soon and she home in no time.. thinking of you! :flower3:

Prayers for you Charming!

I have been pickling and canning like crazy! I made pickled beets and spaghetti sauce the other day and will be making dill pickles soon.

Here is what we've been eating: crock pot lasagna
crock pot orange chicken
crock pot chicken tortilla soup
crock pot beef goulash tomorrow
crock pot chop suey

The operative word is crock pot! I have most of these on my blog. Just enter the key word in the search.

This Saturday is Claire's 8th Birthday. It's hard to believe it's been two long years since we've been on the Dream! Next week is my daughters cardiac ablation surgery (she's the 14 year old) on Wednesday so my DH will be on his own for a few days. I will probably make some meals up for him.

Thanks for the support. She is still at the hospital but doing much better. They are worried about her kidney function and thyroid levels. Plus our toilet broke and is leaking into our basement. So my uncle turned off the water and I am staying at my grandma's house with my kitty girls for a few days while he and some of his friends get things cleaned up and fixed. I can not wait for this week to be over.

Tonight I ate at the hospital and it was not bad, not great, but not bad. Lol
