My baby had an endoscopy today so I made a huge pot of chicken noodle soup and added store bought tortellini to it. We are keeping it simple today.

Been a crazy week our way. I had surgery on Monday and I'm just getting back into the swing of things today. Here's what our menu looked like for this week:

Monday: DD was fed by my grandma and DH grabbed fast food on the way to pick up DD. I was post-op and slept the evening away.

Tuesday: I did manage dinner in the crockpot....cheesy chicken and rice

Wednesday: Turkey smoked sausage with shells and cheese (DH cooked so I could rest)

Thursday: DH is on his own. DD and I are eating at my grandmas before we go see Beauty and the Beast on stage! :cool1:

Friday: Sloppy joes and chips

Saturday: Honey glazed meatballs over rice

Sunday: Grilled chicken breasts, rice-a-roni, pineapple

Monday: Taco Salad

Tuesday: Pancakes and bacon

Wednesday: Pork Chops, noodles, green beans

Trying to clean the pantry out before our next payday. Freeze should be pretty much empty by then!

Mom is picking up something from Fresh Market again tonight. I was supposed to have plans this evening, but something came up for my friend. So, I had nothing planned or thawed and I wasn't in the mood to figure something out.

Almost Easter! I spent an afternoon shopping for goodies for Easter baskets that our department is making for donation. With all the food allergies it was going to be hard to find appropriate candies and Easter treats that also would be fine for younger ones as well. Meaning no small toys or items that could be a potential choking hazard for a 3 year old. But I did come home with a bag from the dollar store and found several items. Also got the grandkids' cards and of course a new bottle of nail polish for myself. I know I am supposed to be saving money and this is a budget board, but it was the dollar store, and not the NARS $18 dollar a bottle polish. Okay so a busy week here with Easter and all the events coming up. I am so excited! I didn't even get a new outfit this year, but it doesn't matter, that is just more in the bank for my Disney trips!

Sun - steak on the grill tonight that we didn't eat last night. We swapped Sat and Sun menus out and let them sit in the marinade another day.
Mon - cheeseburger macaroni, salad
Tues - slow cooker salisbury steaks, mashed potatoes, corn
Weds - root beer pork chops, scalloped potatoes, salad
Thurs - quick chicken posole, sliced avocado, tortilla chips and salsa
Fri - cheese enchiladas, guacamole salad, tortilla chips
Sat - pecan oven fried chicken, green beans, spinach salad with hot bacon dressing
