Tonight is the chili cheese mac Velveeta cheesy skillet. Not-too-healthy but cheaper than pigging out on fast food lol.

Payday tomorrow, so I'll be heading to the market and working on the coming week's meal plan.

Tonight we are having chicken and angel hair pasta tossed in a sundried tomato sauce with garlic bread twists. New recipe for us.

Tonight is chicken parm and spaghetti. I had some of the breaded and cooked chicken breasts in the freezer from last time I made it so all I have to do is bake those, make the pasta, and heat the sauce (which is also homemade, but by a friend).

I'm a newbie to this thread.

Tomorrow is shopping day and I haven't made my list yet, so I only have the menu for tonight.

My version of a Chipotle Burrito Bowl
Pork Carnitas (cooked in the crock-pot)
Pinto Beans
Cilantro-Lime Rice
Pico de Gallo
and toppings (lettuce, cheese, sour cream, jalapeño Tabasco for DH & DS)

Sunday I made dinner (stuffed cabbage) for my whole family to celebrate my sister and my grandmas birthdays.

Monday we had leftover stuffed cabbage

Tuesday we ha hot dogs and Mac and cheese

Wednesday we had French toast and sausage links

Thursday is payday so we'll eat out

Friday is up in the air. I have to take my grandma for a colonoscopy in the late morning and the first football game is in the evening. We'll just play it by ear!

It's a fast food week for us, mostly. :rolleyes2 DH is doing some late charters (he's a bus driver), and no clue when he'll get home. So...

Sunday, Steak on the grill, with grilled bagels
Monday, Chinese take out
Tuesday, Chicken on the grill, with a bottled lemon-ginger marinade, and corn on the cob
Tonight (Wednesday) will either be Chinese leftovers or pizza
Thursday, we both have off, so we'll have lunch out, and fridge-forage for dinner
Had breakfast out, instead, and steak with bagels - again. :lmao: Marinated the steak for arouns an hour in a mix of citrus marinade, sesame oil and ginger paste, with the other side rubbed with beef base, then flipped so both sides got some of each flavor
Friday, Burgers and sweet potato fries.
Saturday depends on what my mom is serving :flower3:

Thank goodness school starts soon, and he'll be back on a normal schedule :rotfl2:
That and it's finally cooling down, so I'll be cooking again :stir:

So, the rest of my week is:

Thursday: Spanish Chicken and Rice
Friday: (Broiled Salmon with Honey Mustard Sauce, Sugar Snap Peas, and Salad) Eggs, Chicken Sausage, and Toast ---> I was sick and didn't cook
Saturday: Not home
Sunday: (Soy Marinated Pork Tenderloin and Sweet Potatoes) Broiled Salmon with Honey Mustard Sauce, Sugar Snap Peas, and Salad

Then next week. My classes start Monday and I have class Monday 4-7, Wednesday 7-10, and Thursday 7-10. I will also be doing a couple workout classes at the CPA Tuesday 5-6 (Karate) and Wednesday 5-6 (Pilates).

Monday: BLTs and Fruit
Tuesday: Salmon with Roasted Tomatoes and Shallots and Rice
Wednesday: (Packing my dinner) Tuna Wrap with Tomato and Cucumber, Fruit, Baby Carrots, Nuts, and Water
Thursday: Crock Pot Santa Fe Chicken with Rice or Tortillas
Friday: (Balsamic Dijon Chicken, Sliced Tomatoes, and Mashed Potatoes) Soy Marinated Pork Tenderloin and Sweet Potatoes
Saturday: Steak Em Up Pitas and Fruit
Sunday: BBQ Chicken, Corn on the Cob, and Salad

If anyone has any awesome suggestions for stuff I can pack to take with me, I am all ears. I have a insulated bag with containers and ice pack and a thermos. I have an hour to clean up, change, and eat from my Pilates class (I don't want to stink during my normal class).

Love parma rosa sauce! I tried mccormicks parmesan and sun-dried tomato sauce last night and it was really good! My kids hated it but the adults loved it. It's with the dried packets of seasonings and mixes. If you like parma rosa you many want to give this one a try. :thumbsup2

I made such an easy slow cooker chicken and potatoes Tuesday night and ate it Wednesday for dinner. I got this off the internet. I cut the recipe to 3 pieces of chicken and 2 potatoes since there is only 2 of us and we have enough to eat twice.

Ingredients:
•4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
•1/2 cup Italian salad dressing
•1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (or mix basil, oregano, crushed red pepper, and garlic powder to equal same)
•1/2 cup grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
•4 to 6 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into wedges or thick slices
Preparation:
Place chicken in bottom of Crock Pot. Sprinkle with half of the Italian dressing, spices, and the grated cheese. Put the potatoes on top or around the chicken. Sprinkle with the rest of the dressing, spices, and cheese.
Cook on low for about 6-8 hours, or until the chicken is done and potatoes are tender.

Funds are low this week, so FRUGAL is the word for the week...

Saturday:
Red Beans and Rice (have all ingredients)
Oven Roasted Corn

Sunday:
Southwest Chicken (http://pinterest.com/pin/253327547760488979/)- have chicken in freezer
Chips and Salsa

Monday:
Pasta Fagiole (have most of the ingredients)
Garlic Toast

Tuesday:
Sausage Scallop Bake
French Style Green Beans

Wednesday:
Canned Soup
Grilled Cheese

Thursday:
American Chop Suey (http://cheaphealthygood.blogspot.com/2008/12/tale-of-two-dinners-also-american-chop.html)- have all ingredients
Broccoli
Texas Toast

Friday:
Crockpot Ham Dinner (http://www.food.com/recipe/new-potatoes-green-beans-and-ham-51948)

Last night I made Shrimp Pad Thai.

Tonight is leftover Pork Carnitas Burrito Bowls.

Ooh thanks for the tip, I will have to look for that one! This was my first time trying the parma rosa and I really loved it, DBF also liked it and he's usually not big on cream sauces. :)

Tonight we are having pork chops.

Looks like we may be dealing with Isaac early this week. Went to the store this morning to buy easy foods/snacks that can be prepared and eaten even if our power goes out. Didn't want to fill my fridge up with food just to have it all go bad because we lose power.

brobrosmom- said a prayer for you to say safe!

Tater tot casserole tonight; will sit down and plan the rest of the menu after I finish laundry....

Yesterday I tried an idea I think I read in the local paper; I took an entire loaf of bread, made them into PBJ, individually wrapped them in saran wrap and put them all back in the bread bag and threw it in the fridge. Now if I am feeling lazy in the AM I can grab one for lunch. According to the article I read, it will be thawed just in time for lunch :rotfl:

Thanks! Every time they update the track it is moving closer and closer to us. Wouldn't be surprised if we are ground zero. We were for Gustav a couple of years back.
