Thought I'd post here just in case anyone was waiting - you can now book summer Easyjet flights to Paris CDG from all airports (Luton, Liverpool, Newcastle and Belfast I believe).

Plus they are now offering four midweek flights a day from Luton. It used to be that you had a choice of flying either at 6:30am (VERY early start - we had to get up at 3:20 for that!) or if you didn't want that, you had to wait until 14:30 - which wouldn't arrive until after 17:00 (one whole day of your holiday gone).

Now the flights are 6am, 9:40, 14:45 and 19:30, so there is now a morning option without having to get up in the middle of the night!

Our flights have cost us £100 in total (two people inc. taxes) - lowest priced regular airline was Air France at £165 from Heathrow.

I don't fly and anyway Eurostar is very convenient for us but that's good news for those of you who fly, thanks for posting Steve, glad to hear you got a good deal.

We'd love to go Eurostar one time, but flying is actually easier for us.

Waterloo is a pain to get to from where we live (plus I've tried getting suitcases up escalators on the Underground too many times!) which means a two and a half hour drive to Ashford, probably negating any time savings the train would give us.

As I can't use my shareholders discount on a Eurostar package we'd have to buy the train tickets seperately, but the earliest they will let you do this is three months before our holiday and I'm one of those people who just prefers to have things sorted way in advance so that I've got nothing to worry about!

Wow, £100 for flights, that is really good. We could save a little bit of money by flying Thomson from Bournemouth to Orly but they do not fly every day and on the days they do, the return flight is very early in the morning, so I'd rather do the Eurostar and get an extra day in the parks.

When we priced up all the options before our first trip, booking the Eurostar independently really does save you ££££. Even Disney, who were the cheapest of all the package operators, bumped up the price. You can also book the Disneyland Eurostar six months in advance, its the other Eurostar destinations that are three months.

Where did you go to get this? We tried on the Eurostar website and it wouldn't let us go more than 3 months ahead. If we could book that far in advance, it might end up making that a slightly more attractive option than flying.

I think it's just the direct train (only one at about 9.30a.m. and leaving DLP at about 6 p.m.) that you can book 6 months ahead of time. The ones where you change in Lille you can only book 3 months ahead.

Well that's interesting. Just tried it and it's let me pick dates in June, yet when I went on to their website just a week ago, it wouldn't let me select anything for April, May or June even when I chose the Ashford - Disneyland Resort route in the destination box. How bizarre!

That's odd, Steve. I just use the Eurostar website to book.

I'm sure Di is right, it is only the direct Eurostar that you can book that far in advance.
