I couldn't agree more! I've never planned a trip where there is this much availability so close to our dates. Fingers crossed that it means crowds will be low!
Seems there is a lot of good reservations for parks and resorts. Some of the more popular choices at Disney Springs are unavailable. I've been watching for one particular ADR there, but nothing yet.
I agree. At 60 days it was an embarrassment of riches. Now that I am trying to tweak times and perhaps add I am noticing some of the usual suspects are difficult to find (Sci-Fi, Ohana Dinner, Space 220 Lounge) but I can't complain about anything. Garden Grill breakfast being added back was the cherry on top!
We go down on Sunday and even with our split stay situation our first 60 day window was insane for it to be falling over a holiday weekend. Our 60+1 was Memorial Day itself and everything was wide open at HS, even the hard to book ones. Only alert I had to set was for Roundup Rodeo because they hadn’t yet loaded it into the system for our dates. We also had our pick of prime dinner times at Ohana at 60+3. And just last night on a whim I was able to pull a Fantasmic dining package for Tuesday. Have never had ADRs this easy, even back in the 180 day times. The park pass calendar is fully green too, which is unheard of for a holiday weekend.
This combined with the heavy discounts and VIPassholder returning makes me think the slow shoulder season will continue much later into June than is normal. I don’t think they have really increased capacity all that much tbh.
We are going in July and were able to get all reservations (with the exception of Narcoossee's which wasn't released 60 days out). There is still plenty of availability.
I was wondering if some people rescheduled their trips for when the dining plan comes back.

If I didn't rent DVC points I would have probably considered rescheduling for when Moana is open in Epcot...i am torn about the dining plan as we usually end up with a boat load of snacks at the end of our trip and I feel like I need to order the most expensive item on the menu to find any value..the convenience of it is undeniable.. but also wonder if quality is reduced when it is offered. so wouldn't reschedule just for the DDP.
We fly down tomorrow. I was shocked at some of the ADRs I have gotten but then I have been stalking the dining sight and MDE. We have T-Rex, 50s Prime Time Fantasmic, Storybook Dining with Snow White, Topolinos Breakfast. The only thing I am still searching for is a Space 220 Lounge.
