Tried searching but couldn't find this...

Do you need to use park tickets to gain entry to a Park if you have a reservation for a meal (ie: Breakfast)?

Just need to know so we can book a Character breakfast. Since we don't have Park Hoppers I need to know if we will have to stay at that Park all day or if they just let you in the Park for Breakfast and then we could go to a different park after breakfast.

Looking for a Character Breakfast for the kids. Thinking about Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker House.

Also for 10 people is it really necessary to call? It says to do so but it seems you can check availability. Of course we'd be seated at 2 tables which is fine.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, it is necessarily to use a park ticket if your ADR is within the park. As far as ADRs for 10, I am not sure, as we have never had that many at one time. I will say that from what I have read on the boards, you may not end up being split up. They say that you may so that people aren't suprised if it ends up happening, but they will usually try to accomodate you.

If you plan to eat in one of the parks you do have to use an admission ticket to get in. ADR's are certainly recommended (especially for a party of 10). Depending on the time of year you are visiting, without an ADR you may be stuck with all CS.

A nice thing to do is book an early breakfast ADR (CP is one of our favorites) because it's a great opportunity to see the park sans people.

Happy planning:wizard:

Another alternative if all 10 didn't want to spend the day in the same park would be to do a character breakfast at one of the hotels.

I think what you are asking is that do you need to call for your adr rather than booking on the internet. I think it is unless you set it up for two seperate adr's for tables of 5. There is no way to be sure that you all get to eat together or even at the same time this way.

1) Yes. You may not enter a park for a meal unless you already have park admission.

2) Yes, you should get a reservation for 10 people. If you can book for 10 people online you can also do that, although it will not increase or decrease your likelihood of being seated at a single table. The website will let you know if you can - it might be parties with more than 10 that cannot. I would definitely not try walking up to a character meal with a party that large. There is an increased likelihood that your party will be split between two tables, but it's not for sure. If you book as a party of 10 and you are split, chances are the restaurant will try and place the two tables as close together as possible. If you book as two separate parties of 5 you might be across the restaurant from each other.

Don't forget to look at the resorts for character meals! You won't need a park ticket for those.
The Poly has a character breakfat
Grand Floridian has a character breakfast and dinner
Contemporary has a character breakfast and dinner
Beach Club has a character breakfast
