Someone just paid $61.00 plus $6 shipping for two Wilderness Lodge mugs!
I couldn't believe my eyes. I have 3 or 4 of those stashed; just had my morning coffee in one today. So there ya go, folks. Unload those babies and make some big bucks!

:rotfl: I hope the buyer pays you !! does he/she have good feedback ?

Congrats !

why on earth would someone pay that much? :confused3

It's quite possible that the buyer is a collector. Since the YOAMD celebration started, all resort mugs are the same. A Wilderness Lodge mug is a thing of the past (as would a POP mug or a CBR mug be).

It just goes to show that some people are willing to pay a lot for something that they find value in.

I sold a few smaller cake plates a year ago.
I bought them for around $7 each at Disney... Never ended up using them and sold them for $35-$55 each!!!! I guess someone bought the set and one broke... that's all I could think of!!!! Silly people!

I sold my Wilderness Lodge mugs a week or so ago. SOmeone paid $41 for 2 of them. I was flabbergasted. However, I know that you cant get them anymore and lots of people LOVE Wilderness Lodge..............

At the same time I sold Animal Kingdom Lodge mugs and 2 of them sold for 7.99. What's that tell ya.

We have 2 WL mugs sitting in our cabinet...I need to get them out!

If I'd have only known!!! We have 4 CB mugs from 2 different years that I gave to my kids to use in the sandbox. :headache: Could've made some money to put towards our next visit.

I looked on eBay a few weeks ago....I have quite a few of the older popcorn ones that I wanted to unload, and refillable mugs from our trips that we never use anymore. Sadly the ones we had were not going for much so I stashed them away for the kids to take when they move out....then again, maybe they'll be worth more then and the kids can sell them for money to move out and buy nice glasses :) LOL

Wow that's pretty awesome. I wouldn't think anyone would pay that kind of money for mugs. I have tried to sell things on ebay that I thought would sell for what it's worth or even sell at all - nope. Then there are things you see that you think "who the heck would buy that?" Then it sells for big bucks. I don't get it.

  Whoo hoo for you!

Sometimes ebay is amazing. I once sold a Smurfette twin sheet for $150?!?! I guess when someone really wants something and has the money for it they will pay anything!

A few years ago my son had been given one of those bear loveys from Carters--the head is a bear and the body is a little lovey blanket. The pattern was called About a Bear, and it was a year old, pattern discontinued. My S showed no interest, so I put it on eBay--still had the tags. I started the bidding at $.99 like I normally do. I sold it for $51. Two moms got into a bidding war, their kids each had one and they needed a second. I think one kid lost theirs? Anyway, they both REALLY wanted it. And the bidding showed it.

I think the key to selling that kind of stuff-anything with a distinct audience--start bidding low, and let the demand grow. if you put a mug out there for $20, most will look at & think you are nuts. But once they want that "cheap" item, they'll bid like mad to get it.

Like eBay says, it's better when you win it. :thumbsup2

You can actually do a search on ebay and on the left hand side after you "search", you can check off Completed Listings, hit search again and it will give you a list of what things have sold for. That might help you get an idea.
