Do they still make easy-bake ovens, or are they GONE since the recall? I see on on hasbro.com but will not shop with them... their shipping time is insane.

I found lots of cute mixes available.. but no ovens!

And I think I recall reading the cool bake oven is kind of gross and jello-ish.

I just saw a Disney Princess Easy Bake oven this weekend either at ToysRUs or Kbee toys can't remember which.

Isn't that the cool one though? I thought I read somewhere on these boards it wasn't very appealing.

I bought them for my girls last Christmas from Toys R Us. They love them. We also gave them as gifts for birthdays in the beginning of the year. Walmart had them as a Black Friday special for $10 & I bought a couple.

I don't think stores can carry them anymore. Stores can't sell anything that's been recalled.
I did a quick google search to see if you can get it anywhere other than the Hasbro site, but all I found were the Cool Bake Magic Oven and some accessories.

They are still selling them on ebay. It looks like the regular ones that the OP is looking for. Also I see them at Goodwill all the time with a selection to choose from.

I bought one of my dd's Christmas gifts from ebay -- a teletubbies house playset that is sold in the UK.

If anyone needs one I have one that I can give away. We got one for my son last Christmas (Yes my son ;) ) and he only used it maybe 3 times. All the parts are still there. I am sure he would like to use it more but it's too much of a hassel for me. I think I have some cookies or cake mix to go with it.

If you are interested PM me... All I would need money for is shipping.

Toys R Us has a fancier easy bake oven, it looks like it cooks differently then the original one did (but still uses heat, not cool air).

There's always Ebay too.

I would be careful about buying one off Ebay that is part of the recall. My DD got her fingers stuck in the oven, but fortunately for us, it was not hot at the time. She still had some nasty lacerations to deal with once we got her fingers unstuck. The thought of 2nd or 3rd degree burns on top of that make my stomach churn. Be careful!

I have an original one sitting in my DD's closet that she got about 5 yrs ago and never , ever used that I was thinking of ebaying. PM me.

We were in Target last night and saw the recall. It said, because children can stick their hand in and get burned. I'm like, duh! It's been that way for 30 years! (Or at least the 25 that I can recall!)
I was really hoping to get my DD one soon. She's 5 now, but I was going to wait until next year. Gosh, they are going to recall everything. :(

If you look at my tag,You will see you can ruin your childs life by not getting them an Easy Bake Oven. I will be 36 years old next week and am still waiting to get an EASY BAKE OVEN. I am an only child and my mom was scared I'd burn myself on the stupid lightbulb.:rotfl2:

:rotfl: This make me smile! My mom never got me one either! I wanted one so bad! I just found out today that the reason she never got me one was that my sister who is 13 years older than me had one and did get burned! lol. :confused3

I bought them for my girls last Christmas from Toys R Us. They love them. We also gave them as gifts for birthdays in the beginning of the year. Walmart had them as a Black Friday special for $10 & I bought a couple.

The ones that were being sold last xmas were recalled TWICE. Send 'em back. They had burn issues, for which they sent a kit, and then door issues which were cutting children's fingers.

We gave one to our nieces, and when we found out about the recall we told SIL immediately both times, we KNOW she did nothing, and we are worried about our nieces playing with it all the time. There was something wrong with these ones...please be part of the recall.

My original highly coveted BLUE one is still at my mother's house. I have no reason to think it wouldn't still work. And we recently found the pans! I think mine is the first or second model ever made. Back then, the color was not marked on the box and you got what you got. Tough noogies if you wanted a different color. They had blue, yellow and green. It was a lightbulb model. That baby cooked! :woohoo: It was my all-time #1 favorite childhood toy.

When DD turned 5, my sister gave her one. Yes, they say it's for age 8 and up, but DSis had waited as long as she could stand. :rotfl2: I made DD wait until she was 6. I was stunned to see there was no lightbulb. You plug it in and it cooks.....gets warm and all. But I still prefer the intense light and heat of the bulb. :cool2:

Luckily, hers is not the fingertrap model. :lmao:

ACK! I don't know how to post the link, but my beauty is on eBay!

It's item: 320185144843

If anyone knows how to post the link, please share the nostalgia. This gives you a look at both the blue and the yellow Easy Bake. :thumbsup2
