Easy ADR's kind of a "buzz kill"?

Now this may sound kind of goofy but, does anyone else think that easy to get ADR's kind of take a bit of the thrill out of it? Last summer, getting an ADR for CRT lunch was like winning the Lottery, even the CM was excited and squealed in my ear on the phone when she found the ADR for me. This year the call was more like, "I'd like Cinderella's Royal Table...." "Breakfast or lunch? (did she just offer breakfast before I even finished saying 'lunch'?)" "Lunch, do you have any times available on that day because I can be flexible with the date" "Well, I have plenty of openings what time would you like?" "umm around noon?" "I have a 12:05". It was like making an ADR at Boatwrights in POR. I thought I might have trouble with Le Cellier too because I wasn't able to get in there last trip. I got my choice of times AND changed dates and got my same time, could have changed it too but I liked that time.
Anyone else have the same feeling? It's like some of the rush is gone because anyone can get an ADR at the hard to get places, even with free dining. I feel like calling for an Illuminations Cruise just for the heck of it LOL.

Why is it so easy now? I was thrilled last summer when I scored CRT for lunch too, and never was able to change my time at LeCellier, LOL, so I know what you mean! So, what happened?

Well--I just tried to change our day/time ADR's for California Grill the first week in May and --NOTHING available on any day or time that we wanted to change to.

hopefully i can change mty ADR @ Le Cellier, and get something earlier then 8:50

Just wait until you're a week out, and try making your ADR's then.

I think it's a combination of two things.

One, now that its 180 days out to book some don't know that yet and some just aren't ready to make ADRs that early on.

Two, now that CRT is two table service credits on the dining plan and is pre-paid in full and with the major price increase, many of the regulars, who've done it before, will not do it again like they used to. I think they've lost a lot of repeat customers and some new customers due to the big hike in prices.

I'm really not surprised.

I can really relate to this, it kinda took the wind out of my sail! I totally thought I was going to have a hard time getting adrs for August with the free food promo and all-but nope! The only problem was Lecellier-can't get anything until after 8:30. I think if I split my party of 5 then we will be okay though. I am actually having a worse time getting air fare than anything else! Go figure.
