Hi,

I've been combing the boards and trip reports for information on your experiences on the Magic EASTERN Shore Excursions. I have read some very helpful information, but let me tell you, lol, it is not easy to find. I thought it would be worth a try to start a thread for this purpose.

It would help future cruisers if all you former Eastern cruisers out there, would list the excursions you went on, what they were like, and what you thought of them... etc. I have read the booklets and have been to some very helpful websites, but would like to hear about personal experiences, helpful hints, etc.

This info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much,
TT

We did the Golden Eagle Catamaran in November and we loved it. It was a little rough going, but very smooth going back. I didn't snorkel, I swam to the beach, my dd 7 & dd 9 snorkeled and then we did the mudbath thing. We enjoyed it. As we were swimming, the guide told us to shield the kids, here comes the nudist sailboat. They all pulled onto the beach and did their thing. My 7 yr old didn't even notice till we were leaving, and then said "mom..they forgot to put on their bathing suits"

We did the 5star snorkel to St. JOhn. I also didn't snorkel here, I swam in the beautiful water and sat on the beach. My family snorkeled for a while then met me on the beach and we all swam for a while. The only complaint I have about this one is it is to short. By the time you get to St. JOhn, you only have about 2 hrs to enjoy it before you have to head back.

I would highly reccomend both!:Pinkbounc

We did the five star to st. John and it was so beautiful I may just do it again. DH did not want to snorkle (still getting over his shark encounter- he finally got back in this year in Grand Cayman) and he just enjoyed the beach-no pressure to snorkle. I would highly recommend five star and the leylond sneed!

We did the Golden Eagle and it was awesome. Hands down the best excursion we have been on. We had a blast and the crew were great. We also did Trunk Bay and really would have had a great time if it had not rained. The boat ride over was great and Jake was a great host. I would highly recommend both.

Would anyone that has gone snorkeling on the Eastern Cruise recomend bringing their own snorkeling equipment or save the space in the luggage for something else?

On our 4-01 cruise we did the 12-Metre Regatta and had a blast! It was alot of fun, the kids were 16 & 13 then and they also loved it. In St. Thomas we did the 5-Star St. John Snorkal & Beach Adventure and we loved that also. On our upcoming cruise we booked the Golden Eagle Catamaran in St. Martin , I'v read alot of good reports on it and I went to their web site and it looks great. In St. Thomas we are doing the 5-Star St. John excursion again. We have a friend of my DD's traveling with us and we want him to experience Trunk Bay. This is his first cruise and I'm excited for him to go with us!
