I need your help again???
We have done the Eastern Cruise... There were some things we wanted to do but never got around to it so we can't decide if we want to do the Western cruise to give up the day at sea or go back on the Eastern...
those that have done both... need some feed back...
also does anyone know when the springtime magic rates come out.... trying to decide between March or May 2003.....
talked DH into a Varendah!!!!!! YAHOO !!!!! so I have to get the lowest rate possible or he may change his mind...

bumping this someone has to have gone on both cruises and can give me some pros and cons....
I am awaiting your replies

All personal choice. I prefer the Western Itinerary. My favorite island is Grand Cayman...very beautiful, lots of water activities, very clean.

with the Western you have 4 ports of call....on the Eastern you have 3 ports of call -

The things you didn't get to do on the Eastern Itinerary is it something you can do on the Western, such as activities on the ship or beach activities?

Prices on the Western may be a little higher as Early Booking Savings is going rapidly due to the popularity of the new itinerary---so you may be able to get a better price in the Eastern.

I also agree with iluvdisney, I prefer the Western ports, with Grand Cayman also my favorite. However if price is a big issue, the western itinerary is much higher in price because it is so new. Price it during the same month both ways, and then compare the price difference. That may be a deciding factor for you!

prymsu: I noticed you have done several Carnival cruises. Our first cruise was a Disney cruise this year but I am ready to go again.:) How do you think Carnival compared to Disney? I have a DS8 and DS12.

Carnival has been a good value for us in the past. Of course, some folks associate it with the party crowd, but at night we normally took in the shows, and then spent the remainder of the evening on our verandah. My son prefers Carnival Capers, but I think this is because there weren't as many kids in the kid's areas as there are on Disney. Feel free to email me if you have other questions.

Thanks, I am trying to look at the excursions to see if there are some things we would fun to do. My husband and I both enjoy snorkeling and outdoor stuff. Living in Florida the beaches are nice but not something we have to have... I definetly will look at the price. but I was just wondering if anyone missed the the extra day at sea.... Also did they have about the same activities on board on the Western as the Eastern... we enjoyed the adult series on the eastern.... Was it harder to get reservations for Palos since there were less days at sea?
Thank you for answering my questions...
I am getting so excited planning for this trip....

Cindy
