I am planning my families 2nd Disney Cruise. The first we went 4 days to Nassau and Freeport. This time we are going 7! We have been unable to decide whether we should go to the Eastern or Western Carribean. My family enjoys adventure. While in Freeport, we kayaked in the Lucayan National Forest and while in Nassau, we took a horse and buggy ride through Nassau. At Castaway Cay, we rented bicycles and rode all over the island. Our boys are 7, 11 & 13. I noticed that a lot of the excursions that we are interested in say age 10 minimum. Are they strict on their ages? My 7 year old can definetly do whatever the 13 year old does! I would love all of the advice your can give! I appreciate your help! Thanks!

Either way you will have a blast!!! The Western has more stops but the Eastern has a longer commute to the islands. When we sailed the weather wasn't so great so we chose the Western this summer.

I just returned from the western and it was excellent. Plenty of adventurous activities, especially on Key West (kayaking stuff). Cozumel is also an awesome locale for adventure travel with Mayan ruins, jeep tours, atv jungle 7 beach rides. We are water born ourselves, so we snorkeled at Stingray city (Cayman) and scuba & snorkel in Cozumel. We had a blast!

I also heard that Antigua is now added to the Eastern, and there's a 10 day cruise starting in Dec '04 that goes to St. Lucia and some other ports too (can't remember them all, I remember St. lucia because I have been there already). This cruise will celebrate Christmas and then return in time for a 10 day for New Years! I want to do this so bad!
