Eastern excursions reviews??

I was wondering if there is anywhere I could read reviews of the excursions for the Magic's Eastern itinerary. I've seen reviews of various ones, but wondered if there was a single place? Anyone know?

The best source we found was the Passporter's Field Guide to the Disney Cruise Line and its Ports of Call.... by Jennifer Watson, Dave Marx and Mickey Morgan...

It is really excellent and pack a lot of info in almost 300 pages...it lists for under $20, and when comparing the reviews in the guide with ones we actually took last year, we have to say that the reviews tend to be very accurate...

Thanks! I have a passporter - just hadn't gotten that far! Do a lot of cruisers skip the excursions and just do their own thing? Part of why we opted for Eastern was one less day in a port so there wouldn't be as much excursion expense. And because I delayed in booking, the price of the cruise just went up up up.

We've done the St. Maarten's Butterfly Farm and Island Tour and the Champagne Catamaran in St. Thomas (to St. John). I do not have reviews written for these two, but feel free to ask me questions about them. We enjoyed both and would recommend each, as well.

The Butterfly Farm was a nice thing to do if you don't want to do a beachy excursion. In fact, we were done early enough from this excursion that we were able to take a taxi to a beach afterwards (and after lunch) to enjoy the rest of the day. It is a great educational excursion for kids, too. Fun! I have pictures on my Disney Eastern Magic December 2001 album accessible through my signature.

The Champagne Catamaran was pure heaven! The food & tour guides (host/hostess) were great -- they were super informative, friendly and the food and drinks really hit the spot. It was a very relaxing ride over to St. John. The snorkeling was great and they provide instruction. Honeymoon Bay is beautiful. You were able to snorkel, swim or lay around on the beach. We really enjoyed this excursion and would highly recommend it. Again, I have photos of these two on the album mentioned above.
