Is there a thread that reviews Eastern excursions, both through Disney and on your own? If not, please post yours here! I'm looking for something that doesn't involve shopping, long bus rides, or heavy drinking. We love things like snorkeling, swimming, catamarans, dolphin viewing, etc. Our group is mom, dad and two sons ages 7 and 9. We're doing the regular Eastern with St Thomas/St. John and St Maarten. Thanks!!

edited to add... we would like to do one amazing snorkeling/catamaran trip, has anyone done that and which port is better for that?

Personally I didn't find St Thomas that nice so we booked a trip that took us to St John which is so nice! We wanted to sail and snorkel and we looked at the sailboats and decided on a catamaran because they are more stable and have more space for kids. We found this great one, has a slide in the back, kids loved it! Snorkeling was wonderful and so was the food, yummy!St Thomas Catamaran Sailing to St John

For St Maarten we really enjoyed the Rhinos, kids like them a lot, you drive your own little boat and can bring a passenger and there is a snorkeling stop too. Lots of fun! Rhino Boats and Snorkeling

I don't know about a web site for reviews, but we did the Screamin' Eagle jet boat at St. Maarten. WOW...that was a thrill, and the driver gave us a lot of great information about St. Maarten and St. John. This is NOT for small children though. We thought about bringing our six-year-old and thank goodness we did not - WAY too rough for kids (and fragile adults too!).
