Eastern Caribbean in late Sept or late Oct?

On the Fantasy. We've done the Western Caribbean in late Aug/early September before. I realize this is during hurricane season, but it's what works with our schedule and pricing. I realized this morning from reading other posts, it sounds like the Fantasy will be decorated for Halloween on both cruises (we're fine with that). So any reason one would be better than the other? Same category and similar pricing and main dining time for both dates.

I am wondering the same thing. I have heard the ship is decorated for Halloween the entire month of September and October. We are looking to book in 2017 when dates are released, just not sure if we will go with September or October.

I would personally choose late October because you are less likely to be effected by a hurricane. The month of September is the peak of hurricane season, and there are rarely (Sandy was unusual) hurricanes in late October. I did the Eastern Caribbean the last week of October in 2014 (we were on the ship for Halloween). We had beautiful weather the entire time and the ocean was still warm at Castaway Cay.

In 2012 we sailed the Eastern on the Fantasy in late October/early November. Lovely weather and as the poster above said it is less likely to have a hurricane (though it could still happen). We haven't sailed in September yet, so I am not sure how it would compare though.

Thank you Princessmommyx3 and AquaDame for the feedback. That helps since I was wondering if water temps would vary much in only one month. We like warm water.
