Hi there-please come across and join the fb group. There is a latecomers group but I am not sure when the cut off date is as I am not organising it. The group is called disney fantasy eastern carribean oct5th 2013. I will watch out and add you.

Can I just ask that other disboards members can please point people in the fb direction if they ask as I do not visit this board very often. It just seems that there is only me who will tell people. I would hate for folk to miss out on the fun because nobody will pass on the details. Or perhaps it could be added to the fe thread about that one being closed?

Just a quick note - I have been pointing those joining late, that are interested in doing an FE in the FB direction, and there is mention of the Late Late comers FE on FB on the 'top of the page FE' posts.
I am sorry I had not gotten around to welcoming the new member yet, as I can not get around to my group duties until after all of our school work is done for the day.

And as for others not making any mention of FB, I think that is so as not to ruffle anymore feathers. After all of the ruckus a few pages back, Deb had asked that you be the only one to give updates or invites to FB. And that it be left at that.

However, fear not, in my regular welcomes, I will continue to mention that FB does have a late comers FE until this Saturday.

I am happy to see our great group of fellow cruisers have already pointed you in the right direction for the FE, now let me point you in the direction for the rest of the groups on goings.

We have a group page (to which I will send you an invitation shortly) on which you can find nifty tools like menus, copies of Navigators (which are the daily planners that you will get every night in your cabin to help you prepare for the next day), practice cartoon sheets for your night in Animators Palate, picture shares, meets to join, shorter discussion thread to make catching up easier, and a cancer ribbon sign up.

Once you get your invite, and get signed in, make sure to stop by the database section and find the sign up for the meet (group party) on embarkation day

Today we have an appointment with our hairdresser to get ready for our vacation: 2 1/2 hours for DW and 15 minutes for me

Presently we're having pretty good late summer weather with temps of up to 73°F predicted for the rest of the week, which means that we may wear pretty light clothes on the way to the airport. It would suck to carry heavy jackets all the way to Florida

The family, DW, DD (16) and DD (7) will be joining ya'll on the cruise. It is the first DCL for myself and DD (7) but the second for DW and DD (16). We are super excited about the cruise and really excited with the VGT room assigned… Deck 9 Cat 4A

We are still trying to figure out all the little ins and outs but we will get them with the help of the thousands of posts about this cruise and the Fantasy in general.

I am not sure if you are wanting to do the FE exchange or not. If so, you would have just a few days to get connected with mama2hope. There is more information on that on my top of the page FE post, and a P.S. about it in the group page invitation I will be sending you shortly.

Today we had our hair cut - cruise style
Then I made an appointment with my tyre shop to have our car's wheels swapped after our return from Florida. We always switch to winter tyres in late October and it would be a pain to make an appointment that late.
Most of the clothes for our trip are freshly laundered and ironed and are ready to be packed on Friday.

So more and more boxes on our pre-travel list are checked

Today I placed an order with Amazon.com to be delivered to friends in the Panhandle, where we'll pick it up after the cruise. Anja needed a new iPod, which is considerably cheaper in the US.
I guess I haven't mentioned that yet: Anja's name is pronounced 'Un-Ya'.

Dutch and German are very similar as they share the same roots. Most Dutch are fluent in German anyway and we Germans usually understand some Dutch - at least when it's written.
For my wife - she's from way up North- it's even easier to understand a Dutch than a Bavarian with a heavy accent.
