The sign up is on the yahoo group but if you are not on there you can PM me and I can add your info just need board name, how many and where you will bring wine from :)

We are still in for the wine meet. We will be bring a bottle of Ohio wine. Any room or place is fine with us. Just let us know the place , day and time.

No thank you Viking. How polite of you to ask though.

I look forward to meeting you on the cruise.

I have a DD who is 6 (going to be 7 in December), she is kind of shy at first. So I was wondering who is on the cruise that have dds close to her age, and are you going to be going to the meet on the first day? It would be great for my DD to meet some other little girls right off the bat so she isn't so nervous going into the kids club. Also anybody going to the Mickey Halloween Party at Disney World before the cruise? I have another question for cruisers that have been on the Fantasy before, do they do any tea wi Alice or princess type things? On the wonder and magic you have to go to guest services right away to sign up for these, is there anything like that on the Fantasy? Thanks!!

Hi! my name is Tamara and I have two. :-)

I have one who is 5 turning 6 on 10/31 and one who just turned 8 in May. We will be at the meet on the first day. That would be great to introduce the girls!

No problem. I can show you then that there is an 'ignore-function' in the real world, too - not just on FB.

Our group has been running on a 'live and let live'-attitude for nearly 1 1/2 years now and so far everyone has been very repectful, polite and friendly.
I have just six to seven weeks of vacation per year and I have no intention to waste any of that valuable time dealing with people, who don't know how to properly behave themselves when joining a group - fortunately we're cruising on a very big ship.

Viking-I'm sorry to see you respond in such a non courteous manner when everything had already been settled between pixie hallow and me. The "please quit" was directed at everyone. I'm not quite sure why some people should be exempt from that.

Do enjoy your cruise. I shall enjoy mine. If we meet I shall be polite and say hi and wish you a fantastic cruise. You may respond in any manner you choose.

Have a magical day!

I have only been on here a few days and already i have seen, RUDE, EGOTISTICAL,BIG HEADED,ARROGANT,SELT RIGHTEOUS, behaviour that would be better suited in the classroom.....I have read all 100 pages of this thread and have come to the conclusion that if you dont agree with certain people then you seem to be ignored or belittled......I have 4 weeks vacation and i intend to spend it with HONEST,NORMAL, people...............Enjoy your holiday!!! You know who you are!!!!!!

As a lurker and fellow cruiser on this particular cruise, this is about the time I unsubscribe... I've read most, if not all, of this thread and in the last two days, I feel like my 4 and 7 year olds joined the group. I have thoroughly enjoyed the thread up until about page 98. Thank you to the regulars who contributed information that we could all use and enjoy the cruise.

If I came over a bit harsh I apoplogize, but with the months it became a bit tiring to explain our decision regarding FB over and over again. That decision was made more than a year ago and so it's far too late to revise it.
Especially as we -mainly thanks to Tink!- designed all our processes accordingly.
There are sub groups, i.e. the FB crowd, the former Cruisetoberfesters. Nobody will be talked into doing anything they don't like.

@mexifinn,
I guess I interpreted your replies as kind of snappy and responded likewise. I'll gladly meet you at our Meet'n'greet and have a schnaps with you - or some chocolate in case you don't drink ;)

I guess it's back to normal business then.

Update on the weather:
The Caribbean is all clear now. Ingrid will be a Mexican problem only. Humberto has weakened considerably now, but is expected to become a hurricane later this week then. The only cruisers affected by it will be Mrs Stevenson and I as next weekend or a tad later it may hit the British Isles and perhaps continental Europe.
To be honest that wouldn't be a change as autumn has hit us with full force, lots of rain, strong winds and low temps.

In two weeks at this hour we will already be airborne. I've been checking on our flight daily for some weeks now and on average it departed on time and reached its destination usually half an hour early.

We are still in for the wine meet. We will be bring a bottle of Ohio wine. Any room or place is fine with us. Just let us know the place , day and time.

I am sorry to hear that, but do understand.
Are you still going to join us for the party on the first day? Disney has a party space set up for us, and Viking is bringing the Schnapps;)
I hope so. You have been part of our group for a while and would hate it if I didn't get a chance to meet you.

Viking- Hard to interpret statements and comments made online since we all add our own tone and feelings to what we read. Yet another pitfall to things being put online.

I get that you dislike FB for your reasons. You get that I do like FB for my reasons. No one should be shoving a FB "agenda" in other peoples face. That is what needs to be remembered by all.

As for the drink...I dont like peach schnapps. I do like chocolate though. Lets combine the two...maybe Disney sells onboard some chocolate vodka. I heard it is pretty good when mixed with the right beverage.

Now lets go forth and be happy and enjoy pre cruise time.

only 3 weeks :yay:
I was wondering when we were planning on wearing our shirts Tink designed -all together or just any day?
Almost packed just waiting for a few things (hoping they wont get to wrinkled). we have decided to dress for pirates night we'll see how that goes. Looking forward to meeting everyone.:)

Speaking for my family. ....
We each have a special boarding outfit (mine a sailor Minnie, hubby - his Mr.Mickey, graduating son-his graduation Mickey, and then our football Mickey). So, we choose to wear our group shirts on Sunday. And then since the laundry room is right across the hall, I will wash it up to wear to see Genie on stage the night we watch Alladin. I have some really cool Genies jeans to go with it.

What does everyone one else think?

We just decided yesterday to get tickets to MNSSHP on Oct 4!!! Can't believe we are going to do it, but it was breaking my heart to be at WDW the day before and after the cruise and not go to a park!! We'll arrive at noon that day, then do the party from 4 till midnight! We will be exhausted when we board the next day, but we have plenty of time to relax and catch up on sleep!! I have a 9 year old daughter who LOVES to play with younger kids...I'm sure she would hang with your daughter at the kids club :)

I remember when we got excited over when the cruise was a year out, then 6 months, then 3, now 3 weeks. We need to slow down or it will be over and we have to start again. Well I have to say my daughter who is 10 and myself are looking forward to putting names and faces together after all this time. She is looking to make more friends.Cant wait to meet everyone.

We were in the same thought process, so close to WDW and to not go to the park would have been such a heart break. I can't wait to share with my daughter that there are lots of girls for her to be friends with and play with in the kids club. We cant wait to meet you all at the meet and greet the first day!!

We will be there with Florida wines! Thanks for volunteering your room! Adding alarm reminder to my phone so we don't miss it!

You got me completely wrong: I'm on FB, too!!
But I never post sensitive information there - and that's all I said. Neither was I trying to keep anyone from posting their travel dates there. I was just explaining why we decided not to use it for the cruise. I considered your statement 'FB is secure' as trying to convince us to post there. :confused3
Enough on FB, let's talk about Schnaps:

Last night I ordered 75 mini-bottles of peach, sour apple, sweet apple and plum flavour - perhaps you'd like one of the other flavours. We were at a large supermarket first, but they had them in glass bottles only and those 75 bottles would have weighed in at 18lbs :faint:
So we decded to order them straight from the factory in plastic bottles, which come to a total of less than 4lbs.
I'll bring 51 for the Meet'n'Greet and the remaining 24 are for Pirate Night, because I ordered one pack of 24 with a large belt holding the bottles like in an ammo-belt, which makes a great accessory for a buccaneer :thumbsup2
We usually never drink Schnaps, but it has become a cruise tradition since Cruisetoberfest I in 2001 and I'd never dare to break a tradition ;)

We picked up a thick wad of greenbacks yesterday and now we just need to pack. I already started to set clothes aside for the cruise. Next weekend we'll pack most of it.
