OOOOOPS - bad mistake:
Manner is not German - it's Austrian. That would be like me saying 'I like that yummy Ghirardelli-chocolate from Canada.' :rotfl2:
In Austria they would really be offended. They really don't like being taken for Germans.

The problem with us bringing treats from Germany is, that we don't come straight for the cruise but will be in Northern Florida for a week before that, with a three-hour road trip to Cape Canaveral in Florida temps.

Oooops! My bad! :upsidedow Sorry 'bout that. One of our trips to Germany also included several days in Salzburg, so that's where we must have picked up Manner for the first time. And you're right, no chocolate would survive your extended FL holiday! Although, I would have to admit that I've resorted to eating melted chocolate bars a time or two, when really desperate for a chocolate fix. hehe ;)

Just a little over 2 months. Can't come soon enough. The next month will be busy at work with everyone shopping for back to school. Sales constantly changing and no tax weekend will help time fly by.
FE question - I have been kinda working on them along the way so even with groups - can we still do other rooms as well?
Also when will there be additional info about maho beach.

Getting closer! So excited to get the list and finalize all my FE gifts! Ah but first my children start school. I hate when my children are gone all day. Need to home school again.

If you need any help getting back to homeschooling let me know. I have curriculum from 1st grade all the way through to some college courses. This year we are doing some 8th grade and some 9th grade. This will be the first year I am only teaching 1. Our 17 year old will do some on line college classes before he actually leaves for college to get into the swing of what is expected.

However, on the other hand, home schooling, running an office out of the house, and getting ready for the cruise....:headache: Oh yeah, and Texas Football
Some 'me' time would be nice.....::yes::
I will be in need of the vacation.

Back from the USA.
After spending six days to become adjusted to Mountain Time I flew back to Germany yesterday and landed here after a night flight today. For the first time ever I used a sleeping pill and it worked fine. I slept through most of the flight from Charlotte to Frankfurt. I did another nap after breakfast and now I hope to be able to sleep through the night to be adjusted to our time by Monday morning when I need to be back at the office.

On Thursday I got a mail from my boss informing me that I may have to fly to Denver again in late August, but I guess I gotta tell him to find someone else as I don't think I wanna fly across the Pond three times in three months.

It's very hot and humid here. After that thin, dry mountain air in Denver getting off the plane in Frankfurt felt like arriving in Bangkok ;)
Presently we're having 35°C/95°F and it was already 25°C/77°F at 8am when I took a cab home. Tomorrow we may even get temps in excess of 40°C/104°F. So I guess we have to get up very early tomorrow to do our usual Sunday Morning 5mile Run before the heat really bulds up.

If the weather stays like that, I guess for the first time ever we'll fly to Florida to cool down :rotfl2:

I will agree, the Denver air was VERY DRY !!!!! and thin.
Unlike you, I was over joyed to be back to the humidity of Texas.
The longer I stayed in Colorado, the more painful my sinuses became. The lack of moisture is not good for someone who needs it.

I was like a tree frog :jumping2:out of the Rain Forest. ::yes::

The best part of the trip was the river rafting. I landed the best seat possible. The front !!! I got every single soaking that came over the bow.

Wanda,
Yes, you can give to as many cabins as you want. My plan is to split the group into smaller groups, and then for those who have noted that they are fine with a larger group or said something to the tune of 'the more the marrier', I will provide a list of all cabin numbers. That way you can give above and beyond those with in your sub group.
Our family had actually made gifts for between 35 to 45 cabins (depends on the gift...some we made 35 of, others 40 and still others 45...We were going to increase the smaller amounts if we stayed with a larger group).

And I know I have not appeared to be present since the closing date of the FE, but I am working behind the scenes and will up date everyone as soon as I can).

We had one FEer request shoe sizes for all the kiddo's.
Some of you have already jumped on and filled this out, but I have a list of a few who have not.
Please check the list below and see if your name is on it. If it is, please go to the group page, click on the Database tab on the left side (in the blue column) and find the table labled 'Extra FE information'.
Then click 'add record'. Answer the questions and save.

Thanks for helping. I am sure this help make our cobbler very happy, so she can finish her FE's.

****Let me start by saying this is not for those with guarantee rooms****

I have 2 cabins for which I do not have any information except that they requested to take part in the FE.
I need the 2 of you to either go to the group page, and post your info on the 3 FE forms (they can be found by clicking the database tab in the blue column on the left of the screen once you log into the group page), or email me to find out what information I need. You can send me an email directly by clicking on my name (Pixiehallow) to the left of this message, and then click send a message via email.

The 2 FEers I still have not heard from are:

MickeyFan9194

Thanks to all of you for helping me get the info into the forms.
If you have not already made a request for a specific sub group (either by size or kiddo gifts) I am doing the work as I type. So, if you hurry, I may still be able to consider special requests.:thumbsup2

This is what I have for the FE participants...

Ah I miss homeschooling, I homeschooled my 4 children but then the need to go back to work. Well the children then went to a charter school but I miss them so MUCH! And I hate the first day of school. I am going to see what we can do to homeschool again.
Thanks Tink!

Ah, we (homeschooling moms and/or dads), should take our own cruise, lol. My daughter said it would kill me because I could not be away from them for that long.

:surfweb:I have finished the division :cool1:

I will begin sending the lists out tomorrow.

Along with the group lists, I also have a list of cabins with kids (which includes the list of girl scouts). This list includes the teens (but the teens are listed on the bottom in case the kiddo gifts that were made were more for younger kids - the gifter will have to make the call).

If you replied that you made special kid gifts, I will be forwarding the kid list to you as well with a special request.

One more note....I also have a list of ALL participants. If you said you wanted to be part of both groups, I will send you both. If I do not send you both, but you would like to give more gifts than you have cabins :hyper:, just let me know, and I will send on the complete list as well.

Please be looking for them tomorrow.

::yes::

This is like a kid in a candy store. I can not wait to get started. I just wanted to remind everyone that if you wish you can always ship your FE gifts ahead of time to the ship. That way less to travel with.

Do you know the address that we would ship to????

Oooops! My bad! :upsidedow Sorry 'bout that. One of our trips to Germany also included several days in Salzburg, so that's where we must have picked up Manner for the first time. And you're right, no chocolate would survive your extended FL holiday! Although, I would have to admit that I've resorted to eating melted chocolate bars a time or two, when really desperate for a chocolate fix. hehe ;)

Yes, in the area of Salzburg it is very hard to keep track which country you are in. Especially nowadays where there aren't any border controls. Some Manner-stuff is also available in Germany, but it's not very widely spread.
Arnold Schwarzenegger sometimes has it on display in his movies, even in one of the Terminator-flics.

I can understand your craving for our European chocolate as so far the only good chocolate I have found in the US is Ghiradelli's. But on the other hand your ice cream is a pure joy and we always treat ourselves with large servings of Ben & Jerry's.
