Looking for some ideas for excursions for 7 night Eastern Caribbean on the Fantasy, Tortola and St. Thomas. We prefer boat rides and snorkeling over just driving to a beach. We are all adults, aged 20-62. I'm open to excursions other than Disney too. Please share what you all have enjoyed.

We enjoyed the Kon Tiki Sightseeing, Fun, and Beach excursion in St Thomas. It was a boat ride (rum punch included), with a little narrated tour and some music. There was a time they opened up the glass bottom but there wasn't much to see there. We had a better view over the side of the boat. Once at the beach I'm not sure if there was an area to snorkel or not (we aren't much for snorkeling), but it was a nice beach. Note, chairs and umbrellas are not included in the cost of the tour. They were extra. On the way back there was more music and they did some fun stuff like the conga line, limbo contest, and sort of a name that tune game with the band. We don't like to be gone from the ship for too long and this was about 4 hours...perfect for us!

I did the St. John Champagne Catamaran Sail & Snorkel (ST21) in St. Thomas and really enjoyed it. Nice boat ride out there, good snorkeling, then on the way back you get a sailboat ride with snacks and drinks.

We'd highly recommend the Baths in Tortola. Really beautiful beach and rock formations that you can walk through. I'm sure DCL has an excursion to get there, but we've only ever done an external one.

Could anyone comment more on the snacks available? Also were there snacks available at the location? I'm trying to figure out if we should pack some of our stuff for DS (11).

No snacks at the location. We have also done this tour and loved it.

We also recommend the Baths - we did the one without lunch. And the family catamaran to Jost Van Dyke - our favorite excursion - can’t wait to do this one again in November.

Cruising in June and trying to book the snorkel tour to Trunk Bay. However, only time available is 11am and it says it is 4-4.5 hours long. All aboard is 3:45. Seems like that cuts it super close to getting back on the ship before departure. Any experience with this? I previously thought that is you book through DCL that you were guaranteed to make it back before departure but have read recently that this is not always the case.

We're avid snorkeling and beach people.

In Tortola, we did Aristocat Daysails; fabulous private excursion that we thoroughly enjoyed. We did Norman Cay and the caves which was the inspiration to RL Stevenson's Treasure Island. Fantastic. Second time in Tortola, we did the Jost VanDyke Beach Break (TT70) as a change of pace. Lots of fun and a pretty good lunch provided.

St Thomas we've done Sail & Snorkel (ST 29) which was quite good. We've also done St John on our own where we hopped off the ship, caught a taxi to Red Hook where we went over to St John. Another taxi took us to Hawksnest Bay where we hung our, and the snorkeling was FABULOUS walking off the beach. Really, any of the bays on the north side of the St John are fabulous.

Enjoy your cruise!!!
