My family and I will be going on our 3rd Disney cruise in December; 1st cruise was the 3 day, 2nd was the Western Caribbean cruise and in December, the Eastern Caribbean. My children are ages 15 and 18. On the Western cruise, we enjoyed snorkeling ( with our own equipment) on Grand Cayman and Cozumel. We also enjoyed a couple of the excursions sightseeing on GC and Cozumel.
Does anyone have suggestions for excursions on both St. Maarten and St.Thomas/St. John?
Thanks for any info!!

Hi,

Just wanted to say that you will probably get more replies to this on the main Cruise page, rather than the Trip Reports page. Also, you don't mention which Dec. cruise you're going on but we'll be on the 12/8 Eastern and my DD is also 15! (DS is 12.)

Anyway, last time we did the Eastern we went parasailing in St. Thomas, which was great (non DCL excursion). Our itinerary was slightly different and we stopped in Antigua instead of St. Maarten so I can't be of any help there.

This time we are doing an independent tour in St. Maarten through www.norushtours.com We will have a car and driver to ourselves and will be able to go anywhere on the island that we choose. We'll spend some time in Marigot and other areas of the island than then do the beach thing in the afternoon. We have no plans for St. Thomas right now, although DH and DS would love to go jetskiing.

Happy Sailing!

We have found after our first cruise that we could save alot of money and just go out and hire a taxi to get us to the excursions we wanted with out going through DCL. We went to one hotel and used there beach one day. It was so quiet and peaceful. The beach excursions we went on through DCL were so crowded. The one thing we did learn, tell your taxi driver when you want to be picked up and they will come back and get you. I think the hotel we went to was a Marriot on St. Thomas.
