We are going to be in Orlando over the Easter weekend (Friday 10th to Monday 13th April). Should we avoid the parks altogether over the weekend or are there certain days that will be less busy than others. If not the theme parks what about the water parks?

Thanks, we are planning a trip over to clearwater, would this be a good use of one of the easter days?

I've been visiting WDW for Easter for years. It's always crazy busy, but manageable if you stay away from MK on Easter Sunday. Otherwise, go to parks in the morning. Hang out at the resort pool in the afternoon. Head back into the parks at night or go to a resort restaurant for a nice dinner.

Can you give me more information on this advice? We're going for one day on our way to my dad's house in Naples. My daughters want to do MK (they're 14 and 9). Is that completely ridiculous? Or do you think we can manage if we manage our expectations? For the record - it's none of our first time at WDW, although it's been four years since our last trip, I think.

(Sorry for hijacking, @Mickey Mounce!)

Try to stay on property.
Eat breakfast in your room.
Don't go to MK on Easter Sunday.
Try to avoid a day with extra magic hours.
Get there for rope drop. (Keep an eye on the WDW calendar - it could open at 7 or 8 am)
Get your first FPs back to back at 9, 10 and 11 am for the coasters or long waits (Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Peter Pan, Mine Train, etc.).
Do a quick serve lunch. Use mobile ordering if you can.
Then grab available FPs for the rest of the day, if you immediately grab them as you use them you could get 12 or 13 in a day.
When it gets hot and crazy in the afternoon, do the Tiki Room, Country Bears, Hall of Presidents, Philharmagic, Carousel of Progress, Laugh Floor, etc.
If you are a commando (rope drop til closing), you will get to do everything.
Save a sit down meal for dinner.
Stay away from Main Street during the fireworks and get on the Mine Train or Space Mountain instead. Or watch the fireworks from the carousel area.
Tell the kids "No whining allowed".

I personally think it's crazy, but I have a friend who did Easter weekend. I was so worried about her I was watching the app from home to see how bad it was, and it was genuinely awful. MK wait times ranged from 2-5 hours on all the headliners, and even high capacity, unpopular rides like little mermaid were over an hour wait. It looked like hell to me. But then she came back and was gushing about how fun the trip was. So it's all subjective.

It will be very crowded. Of all the parks to be at on Easter Sunday, I enjoy epcot the most. Not as busy as MK, and crowds are not as noticeable since it's so spread out. The Flower&Garden Festival will be going on so I think it's a great way to spend the day surrounded by all the pretty flowers and character topiaries. Good way to welcome springtime! If you have kids, there is an Easter Eggstravanza scavenger hunt in World Showcase during F&G. And on Easter Sunday only epcot has (free) easter egg relays for kids in WS.
