Can you give me more information on this advice? We're going for one day on our way to my dad's house in Naples. My daughters want to do MK (they're 14 and 9). Is that completely ridiculous? Or do you think we can manage if we manage our expectations? For the record - it's none of our first time at WDW, although it's been four years since our last trip, I think.
(Sorry for hijacking,
@Mickey Mounce!)
Try to stay on property.
Eat breakfast in your room.
Don't go to MK on Easter Sunday.
Try to avoid a day with extra magic hours.
Get there for rope drop. (Keep an eye on the WDW calendar - it could open at 7 or 8 am)
Get your first FPs back to back at 9, 10 and 11 am for the coasters or long waits (Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Peter Pan, Mine Train, etc.).
Do a quick serve lunch. Use mobile ordering if you can.
Then grab available FPs for the rest of the day, if you immediately grab them as you use them you could get 12 or 13 in a day.
When it gets hot and crazy in the afternoon, do the Tiki Room, Country Bears, Hall of Presidents, Philharmagic, Carousel of Progress, Laugh Floor, etc.
If you are a commando (rope drop til closing), you will get to do everything.
Save a sit down meal for dinner.
Stay away from Main Street during the fireworks and get on the Mine Train or Space Mountain instead. Or watch the fireworks from the carousel area.
Tell the kids "No whining allowed".
