Easter and spring break are here. I am here with DW, DD -11 and DD-7. We bought a new trailer since last time. Staying in 1200 loop. Beautiful sunshine and day. Got here at 9 am and all set up by 11. Enjoyed dinner at Territory Lounge at Wilderness Lodge. We hope to update daily.

Here is the trailer. Bama Ed the camera on the back in previous picture is for you! Saved me having to holler at the wife.

Ed, I have a brief window of time here to say CONGRATS on the new trailer.

I'll be back tomorrow night to follow up. How long will you be at the Fort for? Is it just the weekend? And will you tell us about how you got the new-to-you trailer?

Thanks for posting pix.

Bama Ed

PS - and, brother, a back-up camera is, like, cheating. It robs all the rest of us of our entertainment....

The girls out grew the Dutchman bunk beds. We bought the new Starcraft Autumn Ridge 329 BHU. The bunk room for the girls or yhe girls is perfect. Lots of room to grow and bring friends. We are here thru next Saturday. A whole week in the happy place.

I agree Bama, pulling a chair up and cracking open a beer to watch somebody back in is part of the entertainment. I call foul!
FSU Ed, good to hear from ya. Following along with ya man!

Thanks for taking the time for a TR. I'm now hungry! Good looking TT.

I love the truffle fries from territory lounge. What did you think of the fondue? I have never tried it.

Following along.

Nice trailer. My first 2 were Starcrafts. And I know what you mean about outgrowing the bunk rooms. My DS is 17 now and we have been looking at new 5ers with the middle bunk rooms that are a whole 2nd BR.

And don't let those guys give you a hard time. I've had a backup camera on my 5er for 10 years. Makes lane changes on a busy highway much easier. I don't actually use mine for backing in. I will glance at it to see how far back in the site I am, but I'm too used to using my mirrors when maneuvering.

The backstory is that FSU Ed and Bama Ed met in person when we were both at the Fort last year (2014) in March. FSU Ed's only character flaw (that I know of) is his affection for Florida State.

Carry on, Ed.

In reference to the back up camera, they say... "A happy Wife, makes a happy life!"

The fondue was a great change of pace. We are always looking for new things.

Tonight's update are from the porch!

You got that right! My wife does the driving but makes me do the backing while she spots for me, I'm always afraid I'll mess it up! :joker:

Easter Sunday at the Fort. We feel very blessed to be at the Fort this week. We don't worry about crowds. We are pass holders and come often. We fully participated in the Easter happenings today.

Hopefully you can see the Easter schedule posted at the Fort. We arrived at 8 to the Meadow's Pool for Character Meet and Greet at 8:30. The girls got picture with Thumper and Wilderness Mickey was there to.

Next up was the candy scramble. Amazing photos from Up were created with the candy. Check these out.

The house!

Of course with that comes lots of candy!

Their baskets are full!

We did the scavenger hunt. Lots of fun. We will post more on that later.

Here is a picture of the cake the girls decorated for Easter. My wife agrees with BamaEd that my one flaw is that he is a Seminole! She is a Gator!

We then had pool time and a nap! We must nap! It is vacation!

And cookies! We ate more but only took those pictures!

Tomorrow we are going to Animal Kingdom! Let us know if you have any questions or need any specific photo! We will try to get more to you later!

Happy Easter!

Can I just say that those candy scramble pictures look pretty awesome! We really have no desire to be at Disney during Easter (or Christmas for that matter) but things like that leave me questioning that decision.

They were amazing. Made with candys of a specific color. The brown were plain m and m bags. The orange were starburst. I have been camping at the fort since early 80's and never been here over Easter. I have never seen anything like those candy pictures. Would love to know if they have ever done that before. Brilliant!

FSU Ed,

Well since you offered, we did have someone make a request that as far as I know hasn't been met yet.

I'm just the middle man here but our poster, ruthies12, wanted a snapshot of the drink menu at Crockett's Tavern: see post #11 in this thread - http://www.disboards.com/threads/october-looking-good.3392895/#post-53314461

I feel bad making this request because it might be a great distraction and could possibly require extensive research of the tavern, the menu, and the drinks contained therein. Different bartenders might mix each drink a little differently so it might probably require multiple visits where you can "average out" the results. It's a tough job but somebody's got to do it. And, well, you offered. The tough guys get the tough assignments, you know... I hope you are up to it.:drinking1

And listen, my eyes are old and tired. Is there anything you can do to plus the size of the pictures? When you post the drink menu I want to make sure I can read the prices. :scared1:

Have fun at AK tomorrow and I hope you have good weather this week.

Bama Ed

Thanks for thinking of me Ed! I am specifically wanting to know if I will be able to get my favorite pool bar drink from Disney which is the Banana Cabana. Apparently the Meadows pool bar does not have it on their menu so I'm hoping the tavern does.

I had it on our last trip when we were at Pop after a very stressful flight, getting lost in airport, check in mixup, etc. and let's just say that after two of those I was feeling the magic! Since our trip to the fort will be starting out with a 14 hour drive I may need some instant magic when I get there and need to know where to go.............

PS Loving the TR so far!
