:( Very sadly we lost my mother in law to cancer this week after a long hard-fought battle. We have the opportunity of staying at a friend's apartment on Fort Myers beach over Easter two week school break which would go some small way to cheer us all up and wanted to know whether anyone could help with these questions:

1. What will daytime and nightime temps be like?

2. What will the sea water temps be like (we were on Marco
Island and the Keys end October last, plus we've been St
Pete Beach often in late-May - how does mid-april compare?)

3. What would the crowds be like around that area over Easter?

4. How much public holiday do you get for Easter in the US?

And any other info that would be of use to helping us plan our much needed break.

Thanks so much everyone
Best regards from the UK

Ask Barry Hom... he may be able to help you.

Never been there, but It sure does sound nice.

If Easter is in April, temperatures are generally warm from around 70 degrees F during the evening and 80-90 degrees F during the day. Easter is on a Sunday. Easter weekend can get busy, but since April is in the Southwest Florida season (season here is from after Labor Day to Memorial Day), things will be busy regardless. Plus, you have Spring Breakers to deal with.

Water temps generally average 70 to 80 degrees F.

I don't recall Easter being a holiday, unless the banks and government take Monday off.
