too crowded to be at Disney? I have been to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure at Easter time and there was no problem since they have front of the line access when you stay in their hotels. But what about being at Disney at Easter time. Is it worth it to go that time of year? I have been to Disney in the June and August, does it get more crowded than that time of year?

Expect crowds!!!

We went during Spring Break of 2002 and vowed that we would never do that again! The lines are really long and the parks seem to close due to large capacity crowds. If you are staying on-site this is not a problem, since resort guests get into the parks regardless. We were glad that we had PSs so that we were guaranteed tables.

I am not saying don't go -- after all, it is Disney and who can pass that up! Just take your sense of humor with you. We had a wonderful time and just learned to overlook the crowds. There were a lot of things that we couldn't ride to the lengths of the lines and there being only so many hours in a day. We also learned to appreciate the hotel more and do some things that normally we would overlook due to being on rides instead.

This being said, we did decide not to go that time of year again as I mentioned. We went last year in November and found out what a relief it was. Even when people would say it was crowded, we would laugh. It was nothing compared to spring break!

We went at Easter in 2001 and it was wonderful! I was prepared for the agony, rather than the ecstasy, of Disney but was pleasantly surprised. The weather at that time of year is the best. No rain , like in summer months, but still warm enough to swim. I think you need to be well-planned if you go for Easter. Be the first in the parks, eat lunch at 11:00 and then leave around noon and go swim at your resort. You'll watch with amazement as people are streaming in and the lines are swelling at that time. Use fast-pass for every ride that you can. Know where you are going in the parks so you don't waste time debating about which ride to go to next. Eat dinner early. With a little planning and organization, you'll have a great time!!!

We went to both Universal and WDW Easter 2002. WDW was crowded 120 minute wait for Peter Pan. The parks are open late so we would go early, take a mid day break, then go back until closing. Universal was much easier to deal with by staying onsite and having Express Pass for everything.

June and August are usually very crowded. Now all you have to do is at least double the crowd you remember and you get Easter -- went at Easter numerous times and then went in mid-June and thought I had hit off-season the crowds seem so much smaller. Popular rides can get sustained (all day, all evening) two hour or more lines. Even the lowest of the attractions, e.g., Swiss Family Treehouse, can get 1 hour lines. Fast pass helps but those can actually run out for the day before noon for popular attractions. Weather is usually ideal.
