Easter Sunday crowds...what should we expect?

Oh boy!

DH and I are locked in to visiting in April. We will arrive late on Easter Sunday, we land at 6:30 PM, expect to be at hotel by 7ish, so we'd be at the park by 8ish if we decide we're up for it (we may just want dinner and an early bedtime). Historical data says the park should be open till midnight, so we'd still enjoy a decent amount of time in the park.

All that said, I have no idea how crowded Easter Sunday usually is. The crowds themselves won't bother us that night, it's just two adults, no kids to whine that the line for Peter Pan is 5 years long. :upsidedow But I'm wondering if they'll even let us in, that the park will be filled to capacity.

I'm also curious as to how crowded the parks might be on the Mon. and Tue. following Easter. We're going no mater what, I just want to know what to expect.

Went to DL at Easter time several years ago and the days leading up to Easter were very crowded, but on Easter Sunday, the crowds really thinned out in the evening. It was amazing! It was like it was a totally different park and a welcomed sight for us. By the time you get there, it should be just fine. We flew out the next morning so can't comment on the Monday or Tuesday following.

I'm hoping to sneak a one day trip in that time period. It'll be busy, but ap's are blocked out. Doable on a weekday I'd guess. It looks like the open till midnight thing only happens a few days after Easter which is what I'm hoping for. I wish they had the dang calendar up sooner.

I would expect it to be crowded, just like every other holiday has been.

1st time to Disneyland, arriving the Mon after Easter and curious about the crowds as well.

Do the parks hit capacity? We are staying at DLH so we planned on taking an afternoon break but want to make sure we will be able to get back into the parks after dinner.

We were there last Easter and it wasn't horrible at all. Busy yes, crowded yes, but totaly doable :goodvibes enjoy!:thumbsup2

Aren't resort hotel guests guaranteed admission?

When the park hits capacity, it doesn't let anyone in. Not even if you have been in the park earlier or a hotel guest.
The only time I have heard of it hitting capacity is New Years but I don't even think it happened this last one.
I am hoping for small crowds. We didn't even think about it but our son's 10th b-day is Easter Sunday and guess where we are going? ;>)

What are the day's after Easter like? We are going Easter Sunday and the Monday and Tuesday following. I looked at the AP info and the DAP is good for Easter Sunday.

That's what I wanted to know, thanks! I actually perfer the parks to be on the busy side, it forces us to slow down and enjoy it more. When we can just walk on the rides, I feel that we whip through the park too fast.
