I'm looking for nice shirts for my boys for Easter. It is near impossible. It's either the dressy shirts with a tie or a very casual camp shirt.

Why are there a million dresses for girls and nothing for boys? Are boys supposed to wear t-shirts for Easter? I'm just so annoyed. I think I'll put my boys in Hawaiian print shirts.

And for the record why are a lot of the girls dresses sleeveless or sundresses???? I live in Ohio. It could snow on Easter. That is annoying too.

Thanks for listening..........back to shopping..........

As for the dresses being sun dresses or sleevless, it could be cause the designers think that it is Spring and the sun is suppost to be out.
Have you tried checking Gap Kids and Old Navy?
What if your boys made their own Easter shirts.

Have you tried Kohl's?

I have had luck trying to find something for my son there. He's a jeans and tshirts kid, but I have had luck finding things there.

Yep we're going to church (dh is a minister) and I usually get pictures too. I wanted something nice since their baby sister will be all frilly in her dress and the hat she insisted on. (19 mo olds can be so insistent. ;))princess:

Quicksilver has nice dress shirts, and if they are into the aloha shirts, they also have Quicksilver aloha shirts. Try also checking out Macys.

I thought that they could be creative and make their own shirts. Get regular white or colored shirts and use puffy paints and what not. But Pembo is looking for a dress shirt, so that idea is out.

I second the gymboree idea.

As the mother of three boys, this is a very sensitive subject with me. It is very hard to find Easter outfuts for the boys. I finally settled on The Children's Place. They had about 4 or 5 long sleeve shirts to choose from and coordinating sweater vests, if you like those. They also had some nice looking, thin, short sleeve sweaters with a zipper. I opted for the long sleeves, though. Gymboree did not have much for my oldest son this year and Gap had a poor selection as well.
Good luck!!!!

I bought DS a striped polo sweater and 'linen' pants at Children's Place

  :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm with you! My DS and DD are a bit older but DD already has about 4 Easter Dresses and matching accessories and DS already wore his Easter outfit to Church :smooth: . Somehow he grew from one week to the next and he had to. Back to square one with him! Khakis and a Polo shirt are about his speed.

I got a nice but yet casual dress shirt for my DS last year at Mervyns....

This year I'm gonna let him wear his tee-shirt (since we'll be at Disney!!) :D

There are so many more cuter clothes for girls than boys. I don't know why. But I do love the little suits for boys in that age group. Especially the little bowties.:teeth:

I hear ya- I am a mom of two boys and the pickings are scarce for certain items. Gobs and gobs of cute girl clothes everywhere....not so much with the boys. I thought Gap had the CUTEST stuff circa 1998-2001, and now they have NOTHING that captures me. Nothing. I don't even want to think about the money I spent there during those years! Now I rarely even go in, cause it is just boring. Gymboree has cute basics sometimes, and sometimes REALLY cute stuff for my 2 year old, but nothing special for my 6 year old. But ALL their girl stuff is SO cute! I went to our local dept store (Meier and Frank- division of the May dept stores) with my 20% off coupons last week, prepared to spend about $200 on my boys....I had to scrounge to find even $30 to spend my money on. nothing good! I was shocked!

A thread that speaks to me! I'm just beginning to discover what you all are talking about. My son is 18 mos. and my mom wanted to buy his easter outfit so we went shopping in the department stores and couldn't find a thing, but the girls racks were crammed with frilly dresses. I wanted to buy at a department or kohl's/target type store because I can usually save money but it looks like I'll be heading into Carter's or the Children's Place.

I dressed my sons in sweaters on most hoidays. Also, they were more comfortable in sweaters than in dress shirts .
