Easter Flights

Hi,
We are thinking of going back to Orlando at Easter 2009, our eldest son is away snowboarding on a school trip, so it will give us a chance to go with son no2 (5 years old), without the two of them pulling in different directions!

I saw from a recent post that m+m are out for that period, tried online and there seems to be none available for dates prior to and including Easter. Anyone had experience of going at this time?, if so what is the most cost effective way of getting there?

We are going in August 2008 (Manchester) with BMI via Chicago and the flight was (relatively!) reasonably priced when bought at sale time (thanks Wayne), so the flight does not have to be direct, though we would prefer if it was.

Our holidays (up North) for Easter next year are 3rd - 20th April which may be earlier than other areas.

Any help much appreciated.

Michael

Hi Micheal
Not sure but I think only Easter flights with Miles and Money have been flying Easter weekend which is the middle of school hols for most children. Majority of children break up the week before, I haven't seen any M&M for these dates, unless I missed them.
Easter 2007 they cost me £291, 2008 £410, next year decided to give it a miss as I have to work upto Easter Saturday, halfway thru Matt's School holiday.
Just checked prices £1,290pp(no M&M) 4th-18th but going week after comes down to £580, some dates available M&M £398 but nothing for Easter hols.
They are giving nothing for school hols just now.

Hi Wayne,
Thanks for the info, we could take advantage of travelling on the 13th (Easter Monday) and staying for 15 nights for £398. This doesent seem much of a reduction from the full price for M&M (£32), do you think we might get cheaper in the virgin sale?, if so any idea what time of year any sale would be likely to start?

Thanks Michael

£32 is not much of a saving. Who knows which way prices are going, sales are totally random, could be anytime. At £430 I would be tempted to book now. Difficult choice.

Thanks Wayne,
I agree, although the saving over normal fare isnt that good, I cant help thinking that less than £400 per flight, no matter what time of year is pretty good - with the price of fuel as it is.

Cheers Michael

Booked flights 13th - 29th April for £398, so am happy with that. I will try and resist checking prices daily to see if I could have got them cheaper in the sale!!:)

Don't check again now.:)
