Easter Dinner Location?

Any thoughts on where to have Easter dinner? We looked at Ale and Compass, Wine Bar George, and Boathouse...and decided on Boathouse. Although we are still looking for someplace that might be better. We have 14 and 16 year old daughters so we are looking for nice places that are "fun" instead of "stuffy".

My two favorite places for Easter dinner are closed - Hoop Dee Doo Revue and 'Ohana. Neither actually did anything special for Easter, it's just that both are great fun with good food... Wonderful family times.

For a fun atmosphere, I'd look at "unique/themed" dining options rather than "fine/signature". My kids are a bit younger than yours, more 'tweens, but I'd look at The Wave, Kona Cafe, Jaleo....

Yes...Hoop Dee Doo Revue!! We go every time we visit WDW. It is my personal favorite and I look forward to it, although my kids don't like it as much as I do. I am so bummed we can't do it this trip. Oh well...I guess it forces us to try new things. And we have done Ohana twice and really liked it, but we obviously don't have plans to do that this trip either due to it being closed.

We weren't really looking for "fine/signature", more "nice". Meaning no counter service kind of stuff. We are looking for fun table service that is also "nice". Which is how we settled on Boathouse...it has a lively atmosphere and is still a nice place. I just checked out Jaleo due to your recommendation and it looks really good! That is definitely something I could get into. Our oldest daughter is somewhat picky so it will take selling her on it, but thank you for feedback!

If that isn't a concern, I would stick with the Boathouse. It looks like you are staying at BCV? If so, and you would rather not travel to DS, Ale & Compass is also good (though not as good as Boathouse, IMHO) and not stuffy.

We already have reservations for Beaches and Cream for another day, but thank you for the recommendation. We are DVC members and our home resort is Beach Club, so Beaches and Cream is on the menu

Awesome, thank you for the feedback on the Boathouse! Based on that feedback, Boathouse seems to be right up the alley of what we are looking for. We made reservations, so hopefully the amount of people at DS doesn't really matter (other than feeling slightly overwhelmed). We narrowed down our search to Ale & Compass and Boathouse, but since we are staying at BCV we wanted to get away a little bit. My kids love navigating the WDW transportation and hit DS, although I don't know what that experience will be like during covid. And something just feels more fun about Boathouse...I don't know why. Our friends that live in Florida have been to Boathouse quite a bit and haven't had a bad experience. There are so many WDW restaurants that I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

I do not think you can go wrong with the Boathouse. We have eaten there at least a half dozen times and the food and service have alwasy been excellent. You can also sit outside and enjoy the breeze if you wish to do so. Eating on or near water is a treat for us as we don't have a lot of that in Ohio.

Homecomin brunch instead of a dinner sounds perfect for me for Easter (dinner would be good there too though).

We just reserved the Boathouse for Easter. We have 15 and 17 year old sons. Lol. The menu looks good. Enjoy.
