Ok this is my first ever trip anywhere on spring break. I need help!! Where would you eat for Easter dinner. 4 Adults 2 children (both 11).
On property or off, but not in parks.

thanks
Cindy

All i have for advice from our only Easter experience-BE PREPARED FOR CROWDS! We were at MK on Easter Sunday 1999 and have never seen such crowds! They were worse than the Christmas season(we have been that week 3 times). To top it off, it was very hot, making it harder to accept wall-to-wall, occasional rude people. We stayed for the 3pm parade and then left to the quiet of OKW to recouperate! We ate dinner at 1900PF at GF and that was fine. We never returned to a park that day. The rest of of the week was always crazy at MK, but the other parks were manageable with patience. have not returned for another EAster, but cam going back this year for xmas week again.

Had a beautiful Easter Sunday dinner at the YS at the YC-make your PS's at your first opportunity. The place was packed but the service and food were awesome- notice the "tag" I am a bit biased-we eat here on every trip.

I will check out the menu for the YS and see what the gang thinks.

As for the parks and the crowds. Believe it or not we are not going to the parks on this trip. We are going down to Orlando so the guys can golf and we can be lazy for a week. I imagine the parks would be insane this time of year.

Thanks

Busy but very do-able with a little pre-planning. We spent the day shopping at the mall and then at Epcot-since it is so big we realy didn't have a crowd problem.

We eat at 1900 Park Fare for breakfast each Easter - love it there.

Off property I would choose the buffet in the atrium at the Renaissance Sea World. It is unbelievable! I don't know if you have kids are not but my husband and I did it on a solo trip and it was one of the best times we had on that trip.

what is it about the atrium that was so fun!! And yes we have two boys along on this trip, they are both 11 and well mannered. Thank heavens:).

It's not that the atrium is fun its just that the breakfast brunch is soooo awesome. Let me see if I can find a review I wrote of it earlier.

>>This morning Mark and I had reservations for the brunch at the Renaissance near Sea World. I had read here on the boards that this was the "best" brunch in the Orlando area and had also mentioned that to a friend who was staying here this past October. She and her husband went to the brunch and she agreed it was very good.

We had reservations for 11am but had checked out of the hotel, did a few errands and ended up at the hotel at 10:30 -- just when the brunch was starting so we checked to see if we could be seated. We were seated immediately. This brunch is held in the atrium area of the hotel (and according to the waitstaff; the area it covers depends on how many reservations). Apparently opening time wasn't very busy as there were just a handful of families being seated. The cost is 31.95 and it does include unlimited champagne.

This is a VERY EXTENSIVE brunch and in my opinion would be satisfying to picky eaters (myself) as well as more adventurous eaters. One area has breakfast foods including an egg station (where omelets and other types of eggs are made to order). They also had eggs benedict, bacon, sausage, potatoes, fruit, a strawberry soup, pastries, bagels, lox, salads (a really good mushroom one), and more in this area.

There was another area with sushi and I believe they call them California rolls (look good but I think they all had fish in them). In another area were two carved meats (turkey and a salmon) and for some reason a fruitcake was at this table also. Another long area had a variety of meats (beef tenderloin, quail, duck, -- this is just off the top of my head) and pastas (a lasagna and a canneloni) as well as vegetables. Finally there was a dessert table with probably about ten different cakes, some tortes, and a freezer filled with Nestle and Hagen Daz ice cream bars.

The service was very attentive at first but got a little spottier as the morning progressed. I will say we had a wonderful time. And I was shocked to discover we sat there eating, talking and drinking champagne for over two hours!)<<

There you go.

This was our first trip to the world during easter this year, but it just coincided with our 3 ds spring break. We did breakfast at the cape may buffet. I did a review. It was not a good experience, mediocore food, a server who obviously was mad about having to work a holiday and worse goofy accidently wacking me in the face with his big hard nose. I could have used a tylenol after that. But mickey and minnie were dressed to the nines for a photo op in the lobby. For dinner we did the buffet at hollywood and vine at mgm, we wanted the fantasmic pkg. but I could not get it and I called like at least 60 days out, maybe 90 if that was the limit and nothing. With your 2 ds and not wanting to go into the parks , also I dont know what your budget is and are you looking for very good food, or some type of entertainment to make it a special day etc. I would do chef mickeys, ohana at the polynesian or whispering canyon. I dont know if they do anything exactly easter themed if that is what you are looking for. What about one of the universal citywalk restraunts, nba one or the race themed one. Good luck deciding.
