Easter Crowds

I think the crowds are very dependent on when Easter falls and when spring breaks are. Last year our school (NYC public) only had Good Friday off, and we were back in school the day after Easter, but NYC Catholic schools were off from Good Friday, and the week after Easter. This year we were off the day after Easter only because Passover was that day, NYC Catholic schools were off from Good Friday, and the week after Easter - so different full weeks off. Next year Passover and Easter coincide again, so we're off from Good Friday and the entire week after Easter, and NYC Catholic schools will have the same days off - that will make for larger crowds, I bet.

We were there the 8-16th and thought it was super crowded. Took advantage of early EMH and then headed back to the pool so it made it manageable.

We toured the parks from Good Friday (4/14)thru Tuesday (4/18). We were surprised how low the crowds were. Except at MK. That park is always packed but we were able to ride everything we wanted multiple times.

I was expecting craziness but didn't ever experience that. We never had to wait long for buses & got a seat every time.

I used the MDE & Touring Plans line apps. Very helpful!

We stayed at Coronado Springs for the first time. Loved the resort, absolutely hated the room. I can see why the rooms are getting refurbished.

Op - what dates were you at the parks? I don't know what holy Saturday is, sorry. Where you there the week after Easter effectly or did you come home last Friday? I had several friends there after Easter and they had awesome crowds! The ones that went the week before did not have the same luck!

Holy sunday is easter sunday. MK was insane the week after but the rest of the parks much nicer.

The original poster said Saturday so I was perfectly confused...but I think that what I've heard from friends being there over the course of the last couple of weeks bares out what you're saying. The ones who flew down on Easter had an absolute blast!

Holy Saturday is the day before Easter Sunday. I was there the week before Easter (4/10-4/14), and it was super crowded! Touring Plans crowd calendar showed it as almost all 10s the whole week. There were a couple of 9s mixed in, but mostly 10s at every park. Starting on Good Friday (4/14, the day we drove home), crowd levels dropped to 6s and 7s with a couple of 5s mixed in for the whole next week! My Spring Break was the week after Easter, but DD's big school softball trip was the week before Easter. Rats! With rope drop, good touring plans, prebooked FP+, SDFP and single rider lines, we still had a great time. We rode everything we wanted except FEA and PP, and our longest wait was only 25 minutes (single rider line at Test Track at 1:30 PM).

Just got back from spring break trip with my youngest and I thought the crowds weren't that much worse than our November trip!
