Easter crowds?

Yesterday we were at AK for rope drop and we rode everything we wanted without FP's until about 1pm and then it got crowded, but not unbearable, hopped to EPCOT after 4 and it felt lighter than previous years. We only needed FP for Soarin' at around 8pm as standby was 70 minutes.

Yesterday was overcast and cool, IMO.
Today is very sunny and hot at 9:56am and the week is predicted to be 84-87 and sunny.

Typhoon lagoon and mini-golf today.

We must be in alternate universes here in Central Florida.

At 1:30pm it's completely cloudy and 72. Although yes, mid to upper 80s the rest of the week.

We are going to WDW the week after Easter next year. So should I assume that the crowds will be pretty much how they are for this week or will they be heavier since Easter falls at the beginning of April next year?

WDW is listed as 8 park levels today and current (3p EDT) wait at space mountain is 55, PP is 60, splash is at 70, in Epcot, Soarin 90 and TT 45, and in DS TSM is 80, so looks like crowds are pretty heavy.

My guess is that 2015 Easter weeks will be busier as Easter falls closer to March, thus more potential for overlap with some spring break weeks is very possible. Either way you are looking at 8 or 9 level park days.

we just left mk. Crazy busy. Not worth it. Sitting my 6th floor balcony with my 4 tusker's lagers overlooking the pool at akl. We r going back in tonight. Last night we hit 8 rides meet and greats in 2 hrs. Overall crowds are deff ok with the other parks.

Easter may have been a little off this year. Possible reasons:
- Very late in April, so it is totally away from college spring breaks
- Lots of snow days in the Northeast. For example, my kids were supposed to be off from last Tuesday thru today (Monday). However, they had 8 snow days this winter, so they extended the school year a week and cut spring/Easter break down to one day (Good Friday). Lots of districts in the area doing similar things.
- Due to the crazy winter, those of us in the northeast went crazy and needed to get away from the winter, so we went to Disney in mid-March. I was there then and it was crazy busy.

Had another perfect holiday at WDW. After a chef mickey brunch, DS and had a date at BOG. The Beast attacke me with REAL kisses and we hit all the headliners. We had extra FP+ from ODS and DH who were too tired to run the gauntlet again. My only mistake was putting him on CoP resulting in him promptly passing out. Crowds were an 8 to me, much worse after wishes.

MK is not recommended today.

Just curious, anyone at EP today, it's the most recommended park.

Perhaps but I think more likely it is due to Easter being so late this year. In my area of the country public school spring breaks were the first week of April, not tied into Good Friday and Easter this year and college spring breaks were in March. So likely less people from the North taking their Disney trip over Easter week.

I was there Easter week of 2012 with our HS band because Easter and our school district spring break coincided and it was 9 and 10 crowd levels all week but doable.

I am in Maryland. Almost all of our schools were off the week right before Easter. Our spring breaks are always the week before Easter if Easter is late and the week after Easter if Easter if early. I personally know of two families that did not go this year for Spring break -- they are in the wait and see mode.
