Easter Crowds + Lots of Fun Anyway= One Magical Trip and a Completed Trip Report!!:)

continued......

As we were entering in and out of the shops, we heard the Street Party outside again and stepped out to watch a little of it-
100_1076.jpg

We were soooooo excited to finally see Mr. Incredible!! We had missed him in the Animation Building in DHS, and then missed him in the Block Party Bash because he was facing the other way and never turned toward us... So here he is--FINALLY!!! DS6 was sooo happy!!

After finally finding a picture frame and bags of treats for my parent's and golf balls for my brother. We decided we better be heading back to POP. Before we left though I wanted some quick pictures-
100_1088.jpg

I ran upstairs to take a picture of Main Street--look at those crowds.:scared1: It was about 12:30pm at this time.....

Some more on the way out for the day.....

Lastly...sooo sad!!!:sad1:
100_1092.jpg

We were so sad to be leaving Magic Kingdom and heading back to Pop. It was a wonderful trip!!The moment we were dreading since we arrived was finally upon us and we just didn't want to leave yet.....:sad2:

Next up--Saying Goodbye....

What a beautiful MK morning:goodvibes I had to chuckle at the stuffed animals. They are everywhere at our house too. And of course each one is so special that we can't even consider getting rid of any (even though there seem to be hundreds):rotfl: Always sad to leave the MK, but you're heading back next month:woohoo: That has to make you feel better:goodvibes

Oh I had frowny (frownie?) faces whenever you said it was your last day and you have to leave.... but yes you are going back again! :yay: :woohoo:

Yay for not beating yourself up over the Dumbo line. :thumbsup2 I'll see your pics later tonite. ;)

Wow, look at those skies! You had a beautiful last day at Mickey's house.:cloud9:

Our last day in the MK included the same Dumbo "fiasco." We missed getting there first thing and my kids insisted on riding, despite a 30 min. wait. How funny.

I love the picture of the three of you in front of the castle. Definitely a keeper.:thumbsup2

CHH tuna sandwich=soooo yummy! And I agree about the apple "crisp", although our crisp was more like pie, it was awesome!

:sad1:about leaving, but :yay: for another trip so soon!!!:goodvibes

Holy Snikes! Look at those crowds. But, they probably look like that the majority of the time we are there too. I've just not gone up and taken an aerial view.

I absolutely hate it when we get to the last day. We start dreading leaving as soon as we wake up that last morning.

Crazy crowds! reminds my of my trip!

The boys closets are packed full of stuffed animals!! The other day I mentioned going through them so we could either sell them or donate them to make room and they both had a fit!! "But we love them all!" they told me.

It was sad leaving MK that day!! But we are soooo happy to be going back so soon. Can't wait!!:woohoo:

We didn't want to leave!! We were having too much fun!! At the time it wasn't a sure thing that we would be coming back so soon. We were hopeful and thrilled when we returned and my parent's told us to book it!!:woohoo:

I am such a planner!! Especially when it comes to our WDW vacations because I want everything to be perfect. So not following the mad dash to Dumbo at opening was a big step for me.:rotfl:

That's too funny that we both had the same Dumbo "fiasco"!! The boys insisted on riding it though, even after seeing the long line. They love the ride.:lovestruc and I'm glad they do!! I'm sure that someday soon Dumbo will be a distant memory for them, once they start getting into the big thrill rides....
Wasn't the tuna sandwich yummy at CHH? I never thought I would get so worked up over a tuna sandwich!!:rotfl: Our apple crisp looked more like an apple pie too and it was such a nice change from all the prepackaged chocolate and carrot cake that week!!!:rolleyes1

I actually thought the crowds were worse on this day (a Tuesday), then on our first day at MK, which was a Saturday.
The last day is the absolute worst!! It was especially hard because we had picked MK to go to. It was so bittersweet because MK is my favorite park. But I never want to leave without getting my last glimpse of the castle.;)
Everyone looks sad :(

Crazy crowds! reminds my of my trip!

Oh my....the crowds were crazy that day!! I think within in the first hour stand-by was already over 30 minutes on most of the rides. We went during Spring Break last year and before 11:00am we were able to ride pretty much anything with very little wait.:confused3 Now, heading back in August--I have no idea what to expect???

Awe...your last day. I know that is always so sad. Actually I was sad for a whole month after returning. But you must be getting real excited. August is just around the corner.

As for the crowds, that was how it was the whole time we were there in April. We actually got to MK a few times at 7am (EMH hrs) just to get on the rides.

What a beautiful morning you had (for both weather and family togetherness!), it being the last day I'm sure just made it all bittersweet.

I had planned to go to MK our last morning and we ended up just going to DTD instead - it wasn't quite as sad but we also didn't get that one last look at the castle.

I can see your pics now and I just gotta first of all say how cutie putootie your boys are. I LOVE getting closeups of my kids faces in pictures and usually it turns out  and it was fun seeing your Barnstormer pic!

Beautiful castle pictures btw, when you first got there and the three of you together -- nice! :thumbsup2 And the beautiful white fluffy clouds. :cloud9:

Yay for seeing Mr Incredible and yowzers, that upstairs pic sure does make you notice the crowds! I don't remember our August trips being overly crowded but I don't have another time of year to compare to either. The US kiddies are back to school so in theory there should be less people..... :confused3

We were sad:( I know...last year when we came back it was even worse since we didn't have a trip planned and we weren't sure when we were going back. I was so happy five months later when my DH told me to book again for April.:woohoo:
Crowds were pretty high that week, but since we have always been in April we have nothing to compare it too. That's why I am soooo excited for August!! I'm so hoping the crowds won't be as bad as after Easter.:confused3

It was a great morning even though it was our last day.:( It was definitely bittersweet...but I just had to see the the castle one more time before we left.;)

Awww....Thanks:goodvibes I think my boys are pretty cute too!! Close-up shots are the best!!! You always get some great expressions!! When we were on Barnstormer, DS kept saying "Mom, put the camera away-we are going down the hill any minute." I told him to smile real quick and I would.

DS was so happy to see Mr. Incredible!! We kept missing him all week!:confused3 I'm hoping August isn't as crowded...now I know it will be much hotter but it would be so nice if there were less people.:thumbsup2 But we've handled Spring Break and the week after Easter so I'm thinking we will manage regardless.

April 21---Day 6

Heading back to Pop Century and Saying Goodbye:(

As we were walking out of Magic Kingdom for the day and for the last time this trip. I couldn't help but think about all the fun we had, from watching the boys faces as we first boarded the Magical Express bus and seeing the excitement in their eyes as they anxiously talked about all they wanted to do. Seeing how they reacted to riding Primeval Whirl in AK for the first time and then hearing them beg for just one more ride...please. Even sitting by the pool and watching them splash and play most afternoons after coming back from a busy morning at the parks. All the ups and downs in MK our first day, from getting stuck on BTMR to being completely drenched on Splash Mountain to finishing the day watching an awesome parade and beautiful fireworks. To finally being able to experience Soarin' and Test Track in Epcot and to start the next day with the fab five and a very yummy breakfast!! We found out that TSM did live up to all it's hype, and that boys do really love fast cars, and explosions from Lights, Motor Action (or at least mine do:thumbsup2)
Most importantly I learned that relaxing mornings at MK are the best!! It's definitely my goal to learn to slow down, and relax next trip and to try and take in as much as I can. So, like I said before it was a bittersweet morning. We didn't want to leave but another part of me couldn't wait to get home to sort through my pictures and hopefully start planning our next trip--and as all of you know that's one of the best parts of going to Disney!! All the research and planning to make the next trip even better than this one!!

So anyway after finally stepping on the bus, which was very empty by the way. I decided to take a picture of DH and DS.
100_1094.jpg

DS asked if he could take a picture--
100_1097.jpg

I tried to get some pictures while we were pulling into Pop but the darn balloons in the windows blocked my view!!
100_1099.jpg

100_1101.jpg

We had about an hour or so before it was time to board Magical Express back to the airport, so we decided to do a little more shopping... or actually DH decided to. We still had some money left on a Disney gift card so I left it up to him so I could take a few more pictures before we left.. DS6 decided to come with me.
100_1105.jpg

100_1103.jpg

A couple pictures that are on the wall in the lobby--
100_1054.jpg

100_1055.jpg

DS was starting to get bored....
100_1106.jpg

As you can tell....
100_1107.jpg

I told him to wave goodbye..
100_1109.jpg

We figured we should go back and find them since it was almost time to go. A few pictures in the gift shop-
100_1110.jpg

100_1111.jpg

As we were walking over to pick up our luggage,of course we had to stop and take a couple more pictures along the way--including the very big suitcases!!
100_1112.jpg

100_1113.jpg

100_1114.jpg

We let the boys play with the hula hoops again, and then decided to go inside and wait since it was pretty warm out. I thought the waiting area/TV area for the kids was really great!! I'm glad we had a chance to check it out this trip!!
100_1117.jpg

100_1116.jpg

Unfortunately, before we knew it, it was time to board the bus back to the airport, waving a teary goodbye to Pop we stepped inside. Luckily, we had a great bus driver who talked the whole way back to the airport telling us little facts and tips about Disney. (now if I could just remember even one of those facts..:rolleyes1) I guess I was just so preoccupied with own my thoughts at the time.....
Before we knew it we were pulling back up to the airport and as we made our way over to security I began pulling out our licenses and boarding passes. I began to count to make sure we had everybody's. One, two, three....One, two three. Okay, I admit it.. I started freaking out!! We were missing DS6 boarding pass!! What? We did resort check-in at Pop and got all our paperwork hanging on our door that morning. DH had went through it all. So, I asked him if he noticed that one was missing. Oh, yeah he said, I told you about it. What...when? This morning but you didn't answer. So, then I probably didn't hear you, right? Oh...sorry. Now, I'm usually a pretty easy going person but the airport was crowded, the lines for security were very long, I didn't want miss our flight and it was something I could have easily fixed before we left the resort--if I had known... :headache:So we turned back around and headed to the Jetblue counter to get a boarding pass for DS. When we finally made it up to explain the situation to someone. The lady looked at DS and said.. Oops..looks like you will have to stay here, now. Poor kid, he looked so worried, until the lady laughed and told him she was just kidding. Well...lesson was learned, with the stress of the morning packing and trying to hurry to get to MK for rope drop..things happen...hmmmm... So anyways we finally had all our boarding passes, made our way through security and found our gate. It was time...there was no avoiding it...as much as we all wanted to stay..it was time to go home......
100_1119.jpg

100_1120-1.jpg

We were sad to be leaving but so incredibly happy to be going home with such wonderful memories.... It was definitely a trip to remember....:cloud9:

Next up--What we accomplished and Final thoughts....

Great update, Angie! Those final hours of a vacation, especially a WDW vacation that you've planned, scheduled and dreamed about for months, are so bittersweet. You want to enjoy every minute of what time you've got left, but its hard not to feel sad about the impending departure.

Great pictures in Pop! It looks really neat. And :scared1: about the boarding pass. My husband and I often have the, "I told you" "No, you didn't" conversation. I'm glad it was easily fixed at the airport.

Looking forward to hearing your final thoughts.popcorn::

:sad1: :sad2:

Too funny (well not at the time, but now it is right?) with the missing boarding pass. My hubby or DS13 will say that kind of thing too, "I told you....." and I always say, "...and what was my answer?" Busted!

If the Jetblue rep had said to my DS4, "guess you'll have to stay here!" he'd be estatic :rotfl: Staying in a place with airplanes 24 hours a day and Disney around the corner?! Heck, I'd like to stay there too!

As usual, great update and I"ll see your pics tonite!

Aww sad day:sad1: Love all the pictures from Pop. Nothing like killing time with the camera:goodvibes The good news is you're headed back soon:yay::yay:

Angie: You know I hate goodbyes. I almost had tears in my eyes 'cause ya'll were leaving. No kidding. At least you know you're going back. That's the only thing that keeps me going after a Disney trip.

Looking forward to your final thoughts.

Lisa

What a wonderful trip you had! It was nice that you had the time to do a final wander around Pop and not feel rushed to get to the bus.

I can totally relate to the missing boarding pass and the "if I didn't answer, assume that I did not hear you" :rotfl2:

Definitely a bittersweet morning and it went by sooo fast... Why does it seem like you wait forever for vacation to come and you blink and it's over.:sad2:

We love Pop!! Right now with the boys so young, it works for us.:thumbsup2 Although I would love to stay in a Deluxe someday....:cloud9:

I'm so glad we were able to get everything straightened around at the airport.( DS too!!) Poor kid, you should have seen his face when she told him he would have to stay. :rotfl:

Well....it's funny now:laughing:....but at the time I was totally freaking out!! I'm not quite sure how DH expected DS would get on the plane without his boarding pass....hmmm... Oh well...everything worked out!!:thumbsup2 It was too funny because DS looked so worried because he truly believed that he would have to stay...:rotfl: Later, when we were waiting to go through security he asked me.."Mommy, could I have really stayed?" Huh? Now that I think about it, maybe he wasn't so worried after all....:lmao:

We are soooo happy to be going back!!:yay: When we left, we weren't sure if and when we would be returning. The plan was in the works but wasn't a sure thing at the time...maybe it wouldn't have been quite as sad had we known. :confused3
Angie: You know I hate goodbyes. I almost had tears in my eyes 'cause ya'll were leaving. No kidding. At least you know you're going back. That's the only thing that keeps me going after a Disney trip.

Looking forward to your final thoughts.

Aww....it was really sad.:( I hate goodbyes too!! I'm so excited to be going back.....only a month left!!!:woohoo:
