Easter Candy favorites

I guess I like just about everything! My kids really liked the nestle’s butterfinger eggs. They weren’t always easy to find.

I always liked to see some of those speckled malted milk Robin eggs.

We used to do a “can you identify the flavor” game with the various peeps out there. Some years they actually had some mystery flavors.

I've lost interest in Easter candy, most candy really. I like good dark chocolate, and peppermint patties, but that's about it these days. Maybe dark chocolate covered pretzels.

I buy a lot and make 5 baskets and more for the table and the eggs we hide.....but for me to eat, just the dark chocolate Dove bunnies.
I try really hard not to eat the rest

Pre-allergies, Cadbury Creme Eggs were my favorite.
Post-allergies, Peeps are my favorite. One regular little peep is a perfect bedtime snack with a cup of tea or decaf. And my fam tries all the new flavors every year, on top of the regular peeps. The family hits have been gingerbread (Xmas - my favorite flavored one) and chocolate pudding (Easter) - since I drink vanilla tea with ginger, the gingerbread just went perfectly. The big miss has been Fruit Punch - that one's terrible.

Cadbury's Creme Eggs are my Kryptonite. And jellybeans-but they have to be the Just Born company, they're the only ones I like.

Cadbury eggs. But if I am being honest, I love the super cheap, who knows what they are made of, candy covered eggs, foil covered crunchy chocolate eggs, and hollow chocolate bunnies. Like dollar store quality. I guess it takes me back to my childhood LOL.

I like toasted Peeps. Toast over a flame and then wait a little bit for the burnt sugar coating to cool. Enjoy. They taste like Creme Brulee.

Nice idea! I've never tried that but I do love Peeps when they've been left a while to dry and the sugar surface forms a crunchy crust. My absolute favourite is Robin Eggs - crunchy malted milk centre coated in chocolate and then coated again in a shiny, coloured candy shell. It's really the only chocolatey candy I really enjoy.

Those are my husbands all time favourite too.

Mine is the chocolate marshmallow eggs and Cadbury mini eggs. Husband talked me into buying different mini eggs because they were cheaper…tried them didn’t like them so he owes me a big Costco size bag of Cadbury mini eggs now…lol

My goodness! I haven't seen these at all for ages and it just brought me back to childhood Easter Sunday, which meant unveiling a new dress and new Mary Jane shoes that I would be wearing to every wedding or event the entire next year, made me smile

They changed them so much a few years ago. They used to be a good chocolate with long shreds of coconut formed into a nest shape with little jellybeans for eggs. Now they are a disc of waxy chocolate with little tiny bits of coconut. They aren’t good at all anymore. I miss the ones from my childhood.

edit: Apparently, a “few” years ago was more like 10 years ago.

So many things are awful now, blood sweat and tears were spent to build up brand reputation and then many of those brand names were sold to junk organizations who sell the same substandard junk under 10 different names... we live in a simulated counterfeit world now & it stinks.

I miss knowing what I was getting.... even an icky Peep is still a Peep
