Easter Break CROCS Sightings

Being totally uncool in all things fashion related, I need to ask whether you wear socks with Crocs? Aren't they sweaty on your feet? Would they look stupid with shorts? Shorts and socks? Don't want to further embarrass any family members any more than usual. As my four year old granddaughter says, "Very not cool, Grandma!"

I was visiting my Mom over the weekend in Lexington, KY and saw Crocs at several places... two different shoe stores, a sporting goods store, and also at Dillards (which is a major department store there). So if you're having trouble getting them online maybe check your local mall. :)

Quick note: After waiting FOREVER to get my first pair of crocs from the website, I decided to get my second pair (yep, loved them so much I want more!!!) from ebay. Well, I used buy it now over the weekend on a pair, and never heard anything from the seller. So, I decided to email them. Turns out that they are waiting for the manufacturer to send out the shoes.. hello, that why I ordered them from ebay, quick shipping right?? No where in the auction did they lead me to believe that they didn't have the shoes in their possesion, I told them to refund my money... BAD BUSINESS!!

That Ebay thing is just plain wrong, AND against Ebay's rules. I would report the seller to Ebay.

If anyone saw Crocs at WDW 3/27-4/2, it might have been me or my 11yo dd. She wore the Airwalks (off-brand but look JUST like Crocs, from Payless Shoes), which were light blue. I wore beige (khaki?) colored Crocs directly from Crocs.com on most of the days. One CM working the turnstile at the gate of EPCOT asked my dd "Are you from Colorado?" He was, and recognized Crocs as a Colorado thing. He didn't know that hers are off-brand!

JUst to let you all know my opinion, here is the situation. I have horrible Plantars Fasciitis, which means my heels KILL after I stand for any more than an hour. They will hurt for a day or 2. I mostly wore the Crocs the first few days, but the last 1/2-day, we went to MK for a couple hours, then DTD to buy souvies. I wore my tennies, to be prepared for the long drive home into the Ohio snow. My feet were KILLING so badly by 2pm that for the entire drive home, I not only had pain when getting out to walk, but also had knife-sharp pains here and there while still seated in the van. I was MISERABLE!

A few people would say " I LOVE your shoes!" while many others gave me funny looks. I do think that my dd's looked much more stylish (if Crocs can be stylish, lol) because they were a cute light blue color. Mine were a boring beige, so I think looked more elderly or something. That color took any hope of resembling a fashion statement away. But apparently, either they worked great, or else my feet were destined to poop out on me Saturday either way!

I am going back for a long weekend this Saturday (yes, 6 days after returning home, lol) and am BRINGING THE UGLY CROCS!!)

I saw a girl in light blue! Are they a color not offered by CROCS? I ask because I remember thinking that I didn't remember that color being offered! My daughter was wearing her buttercup yellow ones and I thought they looked really cute. She won't wear them to school yet (here in Cincinnati), but I told her she ought to be the first to start the trend!

Absolutely-I think the kids will think they are really cool in all the colors--the kids here switch out the straps so they have two different colors...its a big deal!

Are the crocs true to size? I am a womens 8 shoe, but when I tried on crocs in the Hallmark Store (Medium) they were huge! I really want to order the nile crocs but not sure what size to get. Also, everywhere I have tried they are backordered and I leave for WDW in 2 weeks! :hourglass

Can you give me a link where it shows that this is against their rules, and how do I go about reporting this seller? The seller has not refunded my paypal nor has she answered my email yet.

We saw a woman at the Poly (wearing pink ones) who walked past my daughter (wearing blue ones) and said -
'nice shoes'!

Just posted new sig--can't hardley see the beach crocs though cause they are black!

I would like to get a pair of crocs for my mom for her birth day. she has bone spurs and it sounds like these will help her with long days that she will have to be on her feet.

can anyone suggest a size. if i were to buy her a shoe, like new balance, lets say. i would get her a womens 8.5 wide.

any help will be appreciated and apparently i should put in the order soon. her birthday is next month.

thanks.

On the other Croc site Ursala gave a website with free shipping that had crocs in and readily available! The wide is no problem for your mom, these have to be worn to be believed, and like orthotics, please dont overdue, wear them for about 1-2 hours the first day, and build up to an 8 hour day!! I also have a bone spur/plantar f.... thingy, and I am able to work on my feet and not have to have my cane!! I will admit I do overdue at times, and my feet rebel! :(

Anyway, for an 8.5 I would reccommend a Medium or a size 9 the ones that come in SML have dual sizes so it would be an 8/9 Medium. I wear an 11, found a store that sold them, they had the Med on display, I tried them on and was SHOCKED!! They fit!! the MEDIUMS!, so of course I went up to the Large, and they were much better!! :goodvibes I did have to 'stretch' the back strap a tad for my taste, but in the other thread (I think it was entitled what crocs did for me!) several posted that there were some variances from shoe to shoe...

oh, in case no one mentions it....

THEY ARE UGLY
hands down the ugliest shoe I've worn, if only they werent so darn comfortable, and helpful to my foot problem!

I also wear an 8.5 (N, not W).

I ordered my Caymans in an 8 and they are fine in length.

You might want to get the beach, they have a wider foot bed.

Very comfortable.
