Maybe depends on your personal circumstances. The Easter stuff is fun to see at least once. And we have young kids, so they like looking for Easter eggs at the resort and doing the other activities. But Easter availability for 2026 was pretty tight last I looked (it overlaps with spring break for us).

During the kids' school years we did Easter and Christmas and even summer a couple of times.

Were there for Easter in 2024. Crowds. I try to avoid holiday weeks but now I have grandchildren.

Summer was tough when I was still young. Now it's beach time on the ocean.

MM is a nice time if it happens to be announced when I'm already booked. I love the sense of community at the events, plus the music, dancing, dj's etc. It's like a giant party, or at least it was at AK. I found DHS a little subdued, and MK was on a cold night so not as enjoyable. Would like to catch an event at Epcot.

We decided because of the high points cost in the weeks leading to it, we're just going to arrive a couple days before so we can still see the displays and meet the bunny at MK.

We decided we'd rather do one bedrooms than do studios to spend more Easter time. It really was a tough call and I am not surprised if I change my mind, however availability is very scarce and changing things is risky.

I have my three weeks books except I was bble to put together 6 days In a studio (the only studio were staying at, the rest one bedrooms) at a desirable resort and i cant even find a reservation for the day I didnt get for april 18-19 in a studio anywhere! Not even okw or ssr. It is nerve wracking but something is bound to pop up in 6 months I hope! If not we will have to pay cash somewhere for that one day i suppose!

Ive only done HS MM and it looks like thats where it will fall again for us this year

If you think you may pay cash for your missing night, you should consider reserving the missing night through DVC if they have it as a cash night at the Grand. You would call DVC member services for this and if available it's usually 25% off. There may be better rates through Disney with AP etc, on rooms already showing on the Disney website, but I haven't kept up with that.

Then continue to stalk. If your stalking or waitlist shows, you can cancel the DVC cash room, if there is one. (I can't remember if it's 5 days or 8 days before and I just did this yesterday).

For Easter at the Grand (we were there 2024 Easter) availability kept changing a lot. I pieced together a Big Pine Key room for 5 nights and then moved to CL level at AKJ, but saw lots of deluxe studios as well come and go. I also spent a boatload of points which I'm not used to.

Yesterday morning I tweaked my 'starts the end of next week' trip. I dropped Halloween night (my last night) and called MS. Booked the night at Hilton Head on cash. Need a little Hilton Head fix. (Walk on the beach, eat some shrimp and grits, chat with the CM's.) I love the Low Country and lived a short while in Charleston in another life.

This trip is not recognizable anymore. It was moved from mid-November to last week of October with waitlist and stalking. I think I started messing with it end of September. The key here is for this trip I only have to please me.

My trip has changed so many times but I need to stop playing Russian roulette with DVC 🤣🤣

i went from a one bedroom at vgf to a duo studio premium view at poly to now a one bedroom preferred at blt. There was always some studios for every day, but it seems like now the luck has run dry and im kicking myself 🤣🤣

Im still new so the amount of points spent is shocking for April, I dont think ill be returning in April again. September was amazing to us with super low crowds and points. The weather doesnt bother us so after April we will be doing September again. Thanks for the advice on calling member services, I need to book something while I wait for something to come up. I have waitlists for a night at okw and ssr im hopeful at least one of those will go thru and then I can work on the waitlist I really want over it!

I was stupidly being picky about the order of things. I had good rooms but I was like I want to be at this resort during Easter and this resort the next week and then days just kept getting booked and here I am 🤣
